Battle

Gertrude resists physical damage. It attacks with Rush and Energy Blast, both with long cast times and the latter inflicting Curse. Staggering Gertrude increases the drop rate of NulAll Guard significantly.

Strategy

Employing Lightning-elemental attacks is the best way to deal damage. Using physical attacks while Gertrude is charging makes it easier to stagger. After it has been staggered, the player can deal a lot of physical damage without waiting for it to use an energy blast or hitting it from behind after guarding rush.

Etymology

[view · edit · purge]Gertrude is a female given name which is derived from Germanic roots that meant "spear" and "strength." In William Shakespeare's play Hamlet, Gertrude is Hamlet's mother and Queen of Denmark.
