Gerhardt is a non-playable character from Final Fantasy XIV. He appears during the Leatherworker questline in the Heavensward expansion.
History[]
Elde has asked Warrior of Light to talk to the local merchants while he poses as a client. Upon speaking with Gerhardt, he rudely told him that his products are only for nobles and told the Warrior of Light to go shopping at the Brume. After dismissing the Warrior of Light, Gerhardt met with the Count of Durendaire.[1]
The production of wyvernskin workboots attracted a lot of attention to Elde's store. To interfere with her, Gerhardt bought all wyvern skin stock in Ishgard and used his influence to forbid all suppliers to sell to her. Elde creates a new product and, with the help of publicity from the bard Aubrenard, she manages to overcome the problem.[2]
Being an avid follower of Aubrenard, Gerhardt felt compelled to try on the boots when he heard that the bard was wearing them. After witnessing the quality of the boots, Gerhardt admitted defeat. When Elde went to consult him to get contacts with nobles, Gerhardt agreed to help on the condition that Aubrenard create an original ode inspired by him. Once done, Gerhardt apologizes to Elde saying that he will support her store and delivered a letter of introduction.[3]
