Geezard is a Triple Triad card in Final Fantasy VIII used to play the minigame and for turning into items with Quezacotl's Card Mod. Geezard is the first card in the inventory, a basic Level 1 Monster Card the player gets in their starter deck.

Being a Level 1 card, the card values on the Geezard are not strong, its strongest being 5 on the left. Its value placement may also be useful for games that use Same and/or Plus.

Obtain[]

At the very start of the game, the man in front of the elevator on the 2F of Balamb Garden will give Squall a set of five starter Triple Triad cards when spoken to. Geezard is part of the starter deck.

The Geezard monster has a 3.5% chance to drop the card. Using the Card command on a Geezard has a guaranteed chance to procure a Geezard card when it succeeds.

Any AI Triple Triad player who uses Level 1 cards has a chance of using Geezard in a play, from where the player can win it in a card match.

The Dollet pub owner will give Squall a set of cards, including the Geezard, in the "secret room" after winning a game against him. He can first be visited after leaving Timber in the story.

Card Mod[]

The Geezard card refines into 5 Screws with Quezacotl's Card Mod ability. Screws are used for modifying weapons, and can be further refined into Normal Ammo for Irvine's Shot with Ifrit's Ammo-RF ability.
