Battle[edit | edit source]

Gayla can drop Mystery Fluids that allows Quistis to learn the Blue Magic spell Acid, and also refine into Meltdowns, an excellent spell for both casting and junctions.

Gayla hypnotizes its enemies, inflicting Sleep. Once the enemy sleeps, Gayla will attack with its headbutt. It is possible to avoid the Sleep attack by pressing L2 and R2 as if to escape during the attack animation. Its attack, Gastric Juice, causes HP damage equal to 50% of target's HP. This attack is physical in nature and can be avoided with high evasion and luck.
