Description
Garnet is a playable character in Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia who can be recruited during the Lost Chapter Princess of Alexandria.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
Garnet's attire is her default appearance in Final Fantasy IX: a white bell-sleeved blouse under a skin-tight, sleeveless orange jumpsuit with corset lacing in the front and back and large white buckles on the thighs. She wears a pair of red leather gloves and red ankle boots, and a black choker and a large crystal suspended from a long silver pendant.
Her first alternate costume, White Mage, is based on her appearance during her escape from Alexandria Castle at the beginning of Final Fantasy IX. She wears a white mage's cloak over her default attire with the hood drawn over her head.
Her second alternate costume is based on the royal gown seen in the ending of Final Fantasy IX, and is a white layered floor-length ball gown with a light green pattern at the hem. The stockings and shoes that come with it are almost completely covered by the dress portion. The outfit includes a jeweled hairband.

Story[]
Lost Chapter: Princess of Alexandria[]
Garnet enters the world of respite through Palace of Malitia. While searching for her companions, she is alarmed by the appearance of Kuja. He refers to her as a canary while dropping cryptic hints about their situation. She flees when he asks her to join him. When Kuja makes her presence known to Materia's warriors, Zidane, Steiner, and Eiko hurry to find her.
Garnet is relieved to reunite with them after they chase Kuja away. Steiner is moved to tears and explains the situation to her, and proclaims that she is overflowing with Light in spite of Mog not having said anything on the subject yet. Zidane starts calling her "Dagger", but she introduces herself as Garnet since there is no need to hide her identity in this world. He vows to "kidnap" her again, and she gladly accepts. Though he playfully offers a piggyback ride as they walk through the manor, Garnet wants to stand on her own two feet and not rely on others forever.
Garnet earns Firion's admiration who compares her strength to Princess Hilda. She also catches the eye of Edge, who uses his position as Prince of Eblan as an opening to flirt with her—much to Steiner and Zidane's consternation.
Lost Chapter: Roses of May[]
Garnet has drawn the affections of nearly all men in the party, much to Steiner's dismay who ponders a means to fend them off. He recounts the story of General Beatrix. Unbeknownst to all, she had already been summoned into this world by the gods. They had told her that Garnet was alive in this world, and so Beatrix rushed to find her. Before the party can get fully acquainted, monsters attack. Beatrix takes point, with Steiner, Garnet, and the rest of the party not far behind. Taking a moment to reflect on what has just happened, Beatrix all but confirms Steiner's account. While this gives the group some reservations, Garnet, and Steiner as well, is greatly honored to welcome her.
Act 2, Ch. 7: Respite's Authenticity[]
Garnet accompanies Noctis, Prompto, Ace and Lyse as the warriors greet Ignis Scientia after he is summoned by Materia. Ignis introduces himself as the Crown Prince's "tactician", viewing the term as the simplest and most diplomatic way to describe himself to those from other worlds. Garnet thanks him for aiming for simplicity and warmly welcomes him to the team. After their initial introductions, Mog informs the warriors that he has discovered brilliance nearby. As the warriors walk Ignis back to the main group, Garnet promises to introduce him to the other warriors.

- Her LD ability, Eternal Darkness, comes from the eidolon Ark, the strongest eidolon Garnet can obtain whose attack is of the same name.
- Her FR animation has her use Atomos's G-Force 199 attack, while Braska uses Ifrit's Hellfire overdrive. Atomos was the eidolon Garnet saw Queen Brahne use to destroy a nation.
- She is partnered with Braska in her Force Mode. Both are summoners with gentle souls who embark on a journey to explore their respective worlds.
- The 4th anniversary countdown event's name, "Return of the Queen", is a reference to Garnet.
