The Gargantua is a boss in the Advance and 2014 Matrix Software versions of Final Fantasy VI. It is this game's version of the Final Fantasy VIII monster of the same name.
Stats[]
Battle[]
Gargantua uses Quake, but because of its nonexistent Magic Power, it does nearly no damage; however, its physical attack is powerful. Its special attack, Evil Eye, inflicts slow on a party member.
Unlike most bosses in the Dragons' Den, Gargantua, Earth Eater, Malboro Menace, Dark Behemoth, and Abyss Worm do not drop any ultimate weapons, and they will respawn every time player enters their area. However, Gargantua can give the valuable relic Growth Egg when defeated.
Strategy[]
The player should summon Fenrir or Phantom to nullify Gargantua's powerful physical attack. Bio, Flare, and Ultima spells work well against it.
