Attacks with Scullion, WaveCannon, Missile, and the like.
Final Fantasy VI PlayStation Bestiary entry
The Gamma, formerly called Scullion, is an enemy in Final Fantasy VI fought in the final dungeon. It has the highest HP out of any normal enemy in Kefka's Tower. It may be a reference to Omega, a superboss introduced in Final Fantasy V and, as its name suggests, can fire Gamma Rays.
Stats[]
Battle[]
Gamma usually starts the battle by using Gamma Rays, which inflicts doom on one character. It also uses Gravity Bomb and Launcher, heavily damaging the party's HP. Finally, when it dies, it uses Atomic Rays. It is recommended to use Thundaga or Ultima against it.
Coliseum setup[]
Gamma has a lot of HP, so the player should prepare for a long fight, but its attacks are not very varied. Equipping a Safety Bit/Memento Ring makes it so that even when Gamma Rays hits, it will miss upon the countdown expiration. Having high Evasion helps evade Attack, and fire-protection is recommended, since Gamma will use Atomic Ray when defeated.
