Final Fantasy Wiki

Galian Beast is the Level 1 Limit Break for Vincent in Final Fantasy VII. Unlike most other party members, Vincent only has one Limit per Limit Level, but each transformation has two attacks. Transforming makes him stronger and fully restores him, but the downside is that he becomes uncontrollable. Galian Beast transforms Vincent into a bi-pedal Behemoth-like monster that has a fire attack at his disposal.

Galian Beast is Vincent's default Limit Break.

Galian Beast increases Vincent's Defense by 20%, Dexterity by 50%, and his Max HP is set to 130%. While in Galian Beast form, Vincent will attack with either Berserk Dance or Beast Flare, and cannot be controlled. He stays that way until the battle is over, or he falls into Death status. During his transformation, Vincent is immune to Berserk, Frog, and Confusion. The offensive properties of Elemental or Added Effect do not carry over to his Galian Beast form, but defensive Materia set-ups continue to work. Vincent's Limit Break forms behave oddly under All Lucky 7s since he seems to revert to using his gun though there is no animation for it.

Berserk Dance.
Beast Flare.

Berserk Dance (top) and Beast Flare (bottom).

Berserk Dance is a physical attack for 112 times normal damage to a single target. He will use Berserk Dance 70% of the time.

Beast Flare is a magical attack for 334 times normal fire-elemental damage to all targets. He will use Beast Flare 30% of the time.

As there is no way to control Vincent during his Galian Beast form, the player must not use it against an enemy who absorbs Fire damage, such as the Materia Keeper, the first boss battle the player can bring Vincent to. It is, however, great against enemies that are weak to Fire. As opposed to simply dealing damage, the player can also use Vincent's Limits to heal him.

None of Vincent's Limit Break transformations have victory poses, and will continue to use their battle animation after a victory.
