Refine Recovery Medicine for GF from an item
Description
GFRecov Med-RF (GF recovery medicine refiner) is a menu ability in Final Fantasy VIII that allows the player to create items that heal and revive Guardian Forces.

The Guardian Force Leviathan learns GFRecov Med-RF for 30 AP after mastering Supt Mag-RF. Leviathan is drawn from the boss in Balamb Garden's B2 floor, or from Trauma in the final dungeon. If the player removes GFRecov Med-RF with Amnesia Greens, there is no way to get it back.

Using GFRecov Med-RF in the Ability menu enables the player to make GF recovery items to the cap of 100 of a single item type.

Use[]
GFRecov Med-RF does not make Cottages; the player needs Siren's Tool-RF for this. It does not make items that teach GFs abilities; to do this, the player needs to learn GFAbl Med-RF from Eden.
GFRecov Med-RF is typically not needed as using normal attacks quickly outpaces summoning in damage as the player learns Str-J and Str+% abilities, and there are so many GFs that even if one died, the player can likely simply summon another one. Summoning is most potent in the beginning of the game when GFRecov Med-RF is not yet available. In the late game the player may still want to summon Eden for extreme damage despite the length of the summoning animation, and Doomtrain for the status ailments, and so it may still be good to have some GF recovery items on hand to heal them, if needed.
An alternative way to heal GFs is to simply walk on the field, letting the GFs regain health passively, and by summoning MiniMog.
