Full Metal Staff (フルメタルロッド, Furu Metaru Roddo?), also known as Reinforced Staff, Full Metal Rod and Metal Rod, is a recurring rod in the series. It is generally a low-ranked rod.

The Full Metal Staff is a low-ranked weapon for Aeris and provides 22 Attack, 100 Attack%, 4 Magic, and 1 linked materia slot and 1 unlinked materia slot. It can be bought for 800 gil in Kalm or Junon (disc 1).
Final Fantasy VII Remake[edit | edit source]
The Reinforced Staff is a weapon for Aerith that provides the ATB Ward ability, which costs two ATB charges and creates a ward around her in which abilities used by her and her allies will partially refill their ATB gauge. The Reinforced Staff has unlocks that focus on improving Aerith's durability. The weapon is obtained from a chest at the beginning of "A Way Out" in Chapter 17, "Deliverance from Chaos."

The Full Metal Rod is the name of Yuna's weapon when the dominant ability is either Strength +10% or Strength +20%.

The Full Metal Rod is a level 1 rod that provides +231 HP, -52 Bravery, +22 Attack, +2 Defense, and Magic Damage +3%. It can be obtained from the shop by trading 15,420 gil, Rod, and Glass Beads.

Etymology[edit | edit source]
"Full metal" can refer to a bullet with a complete covering of copper over the lead core. However, it might be a reference to the 1987 movie Full Metal Jacket.
