Frying Pan is a key item obtained from Yang's wife after finding Yang in the Sylph Cave, but before going to the moon. It is required to use on Yang to obtain the summon Sylph for Rydia. Afterwards, returning the Frying Pan to Yang's wife will reward the player with the Knife (again before going to the moon).
