Froststrike is a physical ability for Lightning in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. It deals physical ice-elemental damage to a single target.

Obtained[]

Froststrike has a chance of being dropped from the Miniflan and Wendigo enemies. Both enemies drop the ability with a 7.5% drop rate. With luck, players can obtain a level 1 Froststrike from the Miniflans in the Wildlands as early as Day 1. The enemies drop the command on the following days and difficulties:

Enemy Lv. 1 Lv. 2 Lv. 3 Lv. 4 Lv. 5
Miniflans Day 1 - 6 (Easy/Normal) Day 7 - 9 (Easy/Normal) Day 10 - 13 (Easy/Normal) Day 1 - 6 (Hard) Day 7 - 13 (Hard)
Wendigo - - Day 13+ (Easy/Normal) - Day 13+ (Hard)

Mechanics[]

Froststrike deals physical ice-elemental damage to a single foe. It has an ATB cost of 15, an attack power of 0.40, Stagger Power of C, Stagger Time of E, and a Combo of 5. When fully upgraded, Froststrike Lv.5 can have an ATB cost of 10, an attack power of 2.55, a Stagger Power of C, and a Stagger Time of E.

When under the effects of Enfrost, Froststrike's damage and stagger power will increase a bit, while also gaining a small area of effect to hit nearby targets. The attack shares the same animation as the Blizzara magic ability.

Fang uses Froststrike to opponents weak against ice when she is a party member.
