Well, if you guys want to play, here are the rules. Pick any four playable ff characters from the series and form a four person party. Each party member can have any abilities and equipment that they had in any of their remakes. On the first week of June, we all vote on who the best team is and kudos to the winner(Can't vote for yourself). Remember any four ff characters, I just happened to pick all FFIV characters. 1. Cecil: Paladin Weapon: Lightbringer, Shield: Onion Shield, Armor: Adamant Armor, Helm: Onion Helm, Arm: Onionlet Abilities: Fight, Darkness, Break Damage, Pheonix, Item 2. Rosa: White Mage Weapon: Rune Staff, Armor: Adamant Armor, Helm: Onion Helm, Arm: Onionlet, Abilities: DoubleCast, Magic Target All, White Magic, MP+50%, Item 3. Edge: Ninja Weapon: Sasuke's Katana, Weapon: Mutsunokami, Armor: Adamant Armor, Helm: Onion Helm, Arm: Onionlet Abilities: Fight, Throw, Counter, Pyschic Wave, Item 4. Rydia: Summoner/Black Mage Weapon: Mist Whip, Armor: Adamant Armor, Helm: Onion Helm, Arm: Onionlet Abilities: DoubleCast, Magic Target All, Reflect Pierce, Black Magic, Item
Only four? Alright, this can't be too hard.

| |||
Ok......

I prefer physical attacks and nukes all around but, you need to have some support for the range of monsters you'll encounter in any game. You always need at least one guy with a big sword. I just happen to love Auron. It also always helps to have ranged. In this case I chose Vincent. Black Mages always lay the smack down when used correctly and can deal condensed damage to a single enemy or wide spread damage to multiple targets. I chose one of the awesomest ones. On White Mage, I went with Ashe. Technically you can make anyone in FFXII any job. I like a lot of the FFXII characters but, it wouldn't make much sense to waste some of them on the task of a White Mage so, I went with Ashe because she can fit the part. No armor sets chosen. Let's just assume they have the best possible gear from their respective games.

This is gonna be fun. 1. Rydia - Summoner/Black Mage2. Ashe - White/Time Mage 3. Balthier - Gunner 4. Basch - Knight
I spent a long time theorizing, but ended up with a compromise of favorites and overall strength to create a balanced team. I tried to represent many games as well. 1. Auron - Brute Strength Samurai with a killer innate ability to do more damage the more he is hurt with the Masamune2. Freya - Strong secondary physical damager with some supportive skills to supplement mages, her jumping and trance keep her out of trouble so others don't need to be overly concerned with her 3. Rinoa - Long distance physical damage but overall a strong black mage with some summoning and healing capabilities 4. Relm - Main healer with both white and some black magic as well as the ability to control or sketch the opposing team or to kite/mimic strong enemies

well let's see:
| |||
Okay, I'll play this game as best as I can. Here are my four:
| |||
Cool, I only see one problem. Blackheart has Kuja and Kuja isn't a playable character. He has to be removed. As for Sephiroth, everyone else can decide cause....he is playable but still. Beatrix is for sure allowed but Sephiroth is kind of a I don't know. Again I'll let you guys decide. If four people say you can't use Sephiroth, then you can't use him. I like the teams so far, some cool/creative combonations.
Who are you to go around telling who can be in people's parties or not? Rules suck. Avoid them. Sephiroth is not really playable, but he is a member of the party for at least one fight and you can view his stats, weapons, and Materia. You can't change his equipment because Sephiroth won't let you.
Meh, I know that I'm going to lose just like every other thing I ever do.
| |||
TheSwordofDoubt - Xemnas may not be eternal, but his speeches definitely are. TALK - Nanoha ain't called "The White Devil" for no reason.
Heh, I'm not THAT picky. Actually-fuck it, here's my team.
| |||
Aeris - Healer Rydia - Summoner and Black Mage There, you got a White Mage, Black Mage, Thief, Summoner, and two that double as attackers. I was always magic inclined over physical attacks, and this is my ideal party, and also consists of some of my fav characters to boot. And, Locke is now not only kick-ass, but he gets to party with three of the best females in the series. ^_^
(Scratches back of head) Why do I get the feeling that I'm hated around here?
Don't mind BH. He's just real blunt with his opinions. I'm sure he doesn't hate you and I don't think anyone else does that I'm aware of.

Okay, I'll give this a try...
| |||
@SuicidalChaos: I thought BH hated everybody.
He does, but he hates some people less than others.
@ChiefKakashi: You make a very valid point there.
Actually, I think BH has you under his "Really hate" list. Reason: You have Bartz in your name. Oh, and I would also like to say that this forum has caught "Entirely irrelevant topic change" disease.
Guessing who I hate or don't hate is a waste of time. You should know which users or user I hate by now.
If anyone knows how to make this voting system much better then please feel free to do it. My vote goes to TheSwordofDoubt's team
I hope its not too late for my team!

My vote goes to BFD's team. How could I forget Yuna?!
Ok. Here's my super-mega team of awesomeness lol.

For my team, I picked characters who aren't in your main party for the entire game!
| |||
Squall: LionHeart Gunblade, all Gf's and 60% strength, HP and Vit equipped, Ashe: WyrmHero Blade, with Grand Armor, Grand helm, and Genji Gloves. All magic. Yuna: Triple overdrive, and Half mp cost equipped. All aeons and Full Licence board completion. Vivi: Mace of Zeus, Straw Hat, and all magic Whole party equipped with Pumice.
Vivi
I already posted this, but I'll choose:
| |||
I posted mine elsewhere, too:
Aerith-Great Gospel. 'Nough sid. Plus, she's pretty good with magic & summoning. Vincent-Most advanced ranged weaponery, even if FF characters seem to be resistant to bullets. Zack-Like Cloud, only he wouldn't succumb to mental torture, & he's probably stronger. Ramza-Can fill up a lot of loose ends.
Now, a look at the failures:
Orlandeu-As far as sword guys go, Zack is more versatile, and with good equipment, anyone can emulate his rapage. Agrias-Rama can't become a Dancer, & Agrias can't become a Bard. The irreparable conundrum. Ramza has better stats, though, so he wins. Auron-His weakening skills are good, but he's slow. Tidus-Speed is good, but Zack is more versatile than either of the FFX swordsmen.
Just want it to be known that there was a great deal of logic (see: nerdiness) that went into my decision, it isn't just because I'm FFVII-biased. Also, War of the Lions did not suck, whoever said it way up there.
This paragraph, as well as the preceding 5, are mine. I hope to get to text bubbles today so that I no longer have to do this.Neo Bahamut 22:46, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
