Those are your three candidates. I had another choice or two but these three are the best choices. Diablocon 10:54, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Another one? Really? *Shrug* I'll give it some thought when I get in from work. I think they're all pretty even, to be honest. --Gold 13:53, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
It's to do with the fact that Bluer retired (he's no longer an admin, he had Sannse take his powers away) and Hecko is also gone. Diablocon 13:54, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Whoa, I was unaware we even get to vote. I thought the other admins chose? - +DeadlySlashSword+ 14:24, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Usually it's just a case of "K, should this guy be admin?" with everyone saying "Yay" or "nay". It's basically the same, I just thought I'd give you guys some choices. Diablocon 14:30, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

I don't like voting for promotions. The opinion of the public is rarely overall as logical as the admin's. Template:ILHI 15:21, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Whilst the fact that I voted may make this sound hypocritical, I agree with ILHI. //masterConjurer (Talk)_ 15:27, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
My opinions aren't that great, I like to see what the public likes. Also, I asked both Bluer and Hecko and they both said "Eh, do what you want" and I wanted to have a poll since I couldn't really decide who should get promoted. CSM said Faethin, TA said he'd think about it and I never got a response and MMIL... erm, I can't remember if I ever got MMIL's opinion. :S Diablocon 15:29, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Me neither. But it looks like Blue was right. Our next admin has a strong chance of being a woman. N...not that I am opposed to that or anything. - Lost Hero 11:41 A.M., 4-3-09 (Pacific Time)

I suggest you two that vote for Yuan, she has done a lot for the Wiki but in the end that's your decision. --TenzaZangetsu 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Just because I'm bored, I'll confront you there. How? Template:ILHI 20:53, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Well, since i'm bored too (i'll maybe work in my walktrough later), i'll tell you, well, i don't need to tell you, ILHI, just check his/her Userpage and see the section of projects, there is all you need to know, i will explained you but i'm too lazy for that. --TenzaZangetsu 3 April 2009 (UTC)
But that is just any job she partook in. I do many of those things without even thinking I'm doing it, as does she too. Most of these are simple tasks too, except the creating of XI articles. I once had a project thing on my talkpage. I removed a task after I had done it though. Eventually I stopped using it and removed it because I could never stick to a task at one time. Right now I'm doing the Japanese for the FFI enemies, creating the BC-FFVII- enemy articles, gathering all information possible about the Japanese FFIV:TAY: as well as disambiguating, linking, VFDing everything possible, categorising, cleanup among other things. That's right now.
Of course, all respect to Yuan, I'm a WikiGnome too. But as a WikiGnome, we easily achieve edits. Both me and Yuan joined three days apart, and we both brag the highest editcounts on the wiki. Because we care more about the wiki, or because we are Gnomes? Though both of us have added content too, and other jobs foreign to Gnomes. And I would say Yuan edits more than most users here, and I'd say the same about myself too. Template:ILHI 21:14, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
I'm getting the feeling that ILHI is a little jealous that he isn't up for a promotion... ChiefKakashi 21:18, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
I regret not putting him up there now. Diablocon 21:20, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Why? Template:ILHI 21:22, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Because as you said, Yuan and yourself are pretty identical in terms of what you do. Diablocon 21:24, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
:D The thing that sets us apart most though, is the reason BH isn't up there. Though I chose to adopt my attitude problem. Template:ILHI 21:28, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Wha'? Why would I pick at the Gnome? I'm just insulting myself saying that about Yuan anyway. My point is Yuan got to moderator status quickly because of the amount and speed of her edits. Yeah, she puts a lot into this wiki, but Faethin and 8bit don't sport an as-high editcount yet still do a lot here. Template:ILHI 21:22, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Just some lulz here: "She [Yuan] seems the most human of all the FFWiki people I've met" -- Above you can see I was making a lot of comparisons. According to BH I'm not human at all. :D
"He [Fae] always so nice to everyone." Reminds me of a time I probably shouldn't mention. :D
Also, the people staying "I've been stuck between * and * for days" - when before now did you have to decide between them? This started today.
Hey, look at me, I can spam comments. Template:ILHI 22:04, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

ILHI, you should relax, men, you are makeing a big deal for nothing, I think you are as good as Yuan and now that I thinking, why aren't you in here?, I think you will be the next admin after the guy who wins here, well, unless the next admin is myself but that is not my decision. --TenzaZangetsu 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Oh, I don't care about adminship. I didn't care about Rollback. I don't care about my editcount, nor having the highest mainspace count, edit-count, and the other minor "most" things I claimed to have once on BH's talkpage when we were discussing "the bigger picture". I come here to help the wiki. And also for lulz. I know why Yuan is here and not me. For reasons explained here and other reasons I feel I shouldn't say.
The comment above yours was making lulz out of people's opinions differing greatly. Before then I was saying why Yuan should be on here and not me. I don't actually care.
And I'm still spamming the comments section. :3 Template:ILHI 22:29, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

So what is this? Bluerfn left? An administrator, leaving a coveted position? He is a coward, I say; fearful of the mindless horde in front of him! But what is this beyond that? A plea from the higher-ups to the worthless horde? Come now, bos-- Diablocon good sir! I think you are far too wise to ask these people who they "favor" as admin? It is obvious that for most of them, when they choose, it is for the candidate "they like", not "the one who fits" the administrator disposition! And further more... "needs a new admin"? Diablocon, good sir, I believe the existing administration is more than enough to handle this ignorant horde - myself included. It does not "need", it "wants". "Wanting" is different from "needing". You do not need one more in your ranks. But a titled user, now that needs some filling >;3 >:3 13:03, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Ah AJD, despite how so many seem to hate you, you always give the best points. You nao have a new fan. :D While I'm here, I say Bluer should still have an admin position, since Hecko appears to still have his. Template:BfDsig
So if Bluerfn and HeckoX still holds their administrative capabilities, I do not think there should be any question if the wiki needs another administrator? Why would you claim to leave and yet still hold your administrative powers? Such hypocrites. >:3 16:07, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
"But a titled user, now that needs some filling". And I'm sure you could suggest someone of course. I've forgotten how amusing your little tirades can be, AJ.
As for Hecko and Bluerfn, Bluerfn simply left because, according to his user page he's simply uninterested in the Wiki anymore. I sympathize, I recently left my Moderator position at a forum for the same reason. As for Hecko....come to think of I can't really recall why he left, though according to his edit history he hasn't been on in months. CSM, MMIL and TA are all one now and then, but quite sporadically. Simply put, Diablo is the only Admin reachable on a regular basis, and when Admins are the only ones who can delete pages, block users, etc, it's a lot of work for one man to do. Drake Clawfang 16:31, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Drake has a point on that, Diablo is doing the best he can but that's a lot of work to just one man, i'm trying to do my best here, because this wiki needs more useful users and AJ is also right, why Hecko and Bluerfn left and keep his position?, i will like be a admin someday but i can't because two people that are no longer in this wiki are the admins, injustice i say this is. --TenzaZangetsu 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Uninterested in the wiki? A very lame excuse indeed! Users vie for being administrator, bragging on their edit counts and dreams of becoming some sort of overlord, and he just packed his bags and left once he achieved it? Seems to me he does not deserve that privilege in the first place. He and HeckoX, if I may add. >:3 18:20, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
I think that you and me we're going to get along in no time but back to topic, yes, i'm a huge of the series because it was my first video game and one of the best series that i played, they can go if they want but they should quit his position of power, because actually after the winner of this poll i want to become the next admin and yes, AJ, they don't deserve that privilege. --TenzaZangetsu 4 April 2009 (UTC)

You people seem to have forgotten that Bluer is no longer an admin, he had Sansse take away his powers, so we are down an admin. Also, your views really piss me off Durai. Bluer left because he was doing his hardest work and no one respected it for him so he did what any sane man would do and went "Fuck it" and left those people behind to go to a wiki that actually appreciated him. Hecko left because he had contributed all he could and didn't see a point in sticking around. Finally, stop all the banter, this is to comment on the poll, nothing else.Diablocon 18:26, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Diablo, i know better than anyone what it feels that your job isn't respected by anyone but it's better say that instead of leaving out of nowhere, saying that he no longer likes FF. --TenzaZangetsu 4 April 2009 (UTC)
He still likes FF, he just doesn't like a vast majority of the userbase of this wiki anymore. Diablocon 18:36, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
My apologies, good sir, but I was only commenting due to there being no explanation on why the wiki deserves another admin. Is there no chance of enticing that dedicated user back to this wiki, or are you adamant on picking one from the mindless horde to become an administrator? >:3 18:38, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
I stay in contact with Bluer via email and he's rather busy with real life, so he wants to dedicate himself to only one wiki and he chose the Persona one. Hecko on the other hand basically built our entire template architecture years ago, stuck around for a bit then left, again I stay in contact with him and he shows no interest in returning. Diablocon 18:41, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Yeeeeeaaaaaah...I don't know who any of these people are....Neo Bahamut 18:45, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Yes, well, I do not see how I can judge the merits of people whom I don't even know. What else would I decide on? Whether or not I like the name? Probably why they went for "Faethin." Anyway, those 2 are probably just idiots who like to contribute to any poll they can find. Or duplicate accounts.Neo Bahamut 19:51, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
I hope that one of the two users that you two are talking about isn't myself. --TenzaZangetsu 4 April 2009 (UTC)

It's not you Tenza. I dunno who they are really, but they seem to either be extreme lurkers who came out to vote and left, or someone using socks to ruin Faethin's reputation. Come to think of it, some of these votes don't seem proper for an election for adminship, but no one asked me.--Otherarrow 21:06, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Which goes back to my original point: Asking the public for who they think should be the next admin isn't going to be as simple as that. It's better for the admins/admin to decide themselves/himself: you're hardly going to get the best result with peoples reasons for voting not relating to what the subject is about. If we were to hold several "best member" polls, I wonder if Yuan will come out top all the time.? Template:ILHI 21:12, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Well, no one asked me either, and this is kind of like ILHI's point, but screw him/her, I started typing first, but like the introduction says: "This is not a popularity contest." It seems to me that it shouldn't be put up to a vote. Maybe some of the admins decide, and there can be a talk topic about it? I mean, it doesn't make sense to COMPLETELY rule out public opinion, but I don't particularly see why they should be a deciding factor. I mean, it doesn't take an entire forum to go, "Okay, would this person be good for this? Do they want to do it? Are they an ass? Okay, good!"Neo Bahamut 21:21, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
I really don't think it would matter so horribly. Any one of the three here would make a great Admin, in fact the only shame is that we (apparently) cannot elect all three. There is no way this election can go badly with these candidates, so there's no reason to complain. --BlueHighwind 21:32, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Though this is right, I cannot stress enough that the public should not be allowed to vote for anything, ever. :D Template:ILHI 21:40, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
I'm glad that i'm not one of those users and ILHI, people should have the right of have there own opinion and it doesn't matter who win, the winner will be a great admin because the three of them are very good users. --TenzaZangetsu 4 April 2009 (UTC)

yeh, coz evrything I say is teh srs bzniss. I already said I don't care. If we can survive on one active admin, than when we have two, I can't see us ever needing another for a long time. Aint that the reason this vote is being held?!  Armageddon11! Dissicon ff12 Gab2 22:45, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

I've decided to withdraw from this. Yes, I know I'm in the lead when it comes to votes, but I sincerely don't care about who becomes an admin. This "poll" has become nothing but a popularity contest, and honestly, I wouldn't want to be elected like this.

I won't deny it - I do want to be an admin, because I feel it would allow me to better the wiki and maintain it more effectively. But at the cost of my friends missing out on this? I really don't want to be in this kind of "competition"; I absolutely hate going against Feavyre and 8bit. I don't even know if I'm "worthy" of being up here or not, or why I'm so inexplicably popular.

The majority of the comment section here sickens me. Can’t you people just vote, and stop trying to sway others one way or the other? How do you think it feels to have your qualities (or lack thereof) constantly lauded or derided here? Try for a little maturity: don’t troll the comments section, and let others make their own decisions. I (and Feavyre and 8bit) don’t edit this wiki for respect or renown, and we don’t want it to be made out like that.

Yes, we do need a new admin - because, with Bluer gone, the Asian timezones are completely unprotected, and all the work is shovelled onto Diablo's shoulders. 8bit and Feavyre are both fine candidates. Choose from them, because I'm sick of this...mockery. I mean no offence to Diablo and those who voted based on the quality of the candidates. It gladdens me that I have a lot of supporters, and I thank you – it does mean a lot to me.

Throw me out of this "competition". I'll have nothing to do with it. — YuanSaluto!Acta 23:55, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

I'm glad that you are the one that says that, Yuan. We should have the right to decide who is going to be the next admin but if the people is going to get crazy with this, is better make this decision of another way.--TenzaZangetsu 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Playing Devil's Advocate for a second, if you did put it to a vote, wouldn't it only make sense to comment on the individuals' qualifications (or lack thereof)?Neo Bahamut 01:05, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
Whatever, have it your way, i don't care, all i want is a fair system to choose the next admins in the wiki, that's all.--TenzaZangetsu 4 April 2009 (UTC)
"Have it your way"? Oh my, someone doesn't know what "Devil's Advocate" means.
I agree with Yuan. This poll is stupid and, frankly, as all three are very eligible, and we are very short on active admins, all three deserve to be promoted. --SCM 01:34, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
Which is why I wondered why Diablo put it to a vote in the first place. We have too many stupid users here. - +DeadlySlashSword+ 02:28, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

You're a noble little urchin, Yuan, and you are a good editor. To see one step down because a vote has become a popularity contest is a truly gracious act. 8bit and Faethin are also good editors though, and in my time here, all three showed themselves to be quite capable. All three of you would make a good admin. Were I to vote, though, whomever I voted for would no doubt have been removed from the running.

hehehehe. Best of luck to the two remainders. Let us all hope this is more than a popularity contest! Both are skilled, but one critical skill is how one might deal with a person such as myself. Knee-jerk reactions are deadly, while talk is risky. Look at how they would react to the extremes, as both are close when dealing with the norm.

hehehehehehhhahahahahahaha! This really is too rich! ~ End Game 05:00, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Ehh...I'll have to agree wtih End Game on this one (I thought you were gone for good?)...this poll is nothing more than a popularity contest (as I have mentioned in the IRC). I think SCM made a point about making all three of them admins, as the three of them deserve it...however, I think there's a litte flaw in that idea (but I can't tell what...Wiki-dremocracy is such a difficult thing to uphold. We should just go back to appointing admins instead...)

And, this is probably the second time I've seen Yuan in a different light. The first when she pointed out the Mary-Sueness of the fanfic going on in Zi'tah... Chocolancer 05:08, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

I say we let the experienced users vote for it. We have WAY too many n00b users to be able to get a informed voting pool. (happens all the time, check the results of the last US election. (Please note this is just a shot at the feds, and not to be taken seriously)). Pretty much every democratic country has an age limit on when you can vote (For the USA, it is 18.) Perhaps if they have been a member of the wiki for a year or so they can vote for things of real importance, perhaps allowing us to avoid the whole thing becoming a popularity contest. Has usual, just pitching. Exdeath64 06:08, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

If we place restrictions, it is usually based on mainspace edits. Restrictions that would stop you from voting in any of this stuff, seeing as your edit count says you only have 18 mainspace edits. --SCM 06:13, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

I know. I don't care. To be honest, my vote is not going to effect anything. So it really does not matter if i vote or not, if a limit benefits the wiki, then so be it, but this is simply my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. (and i am a wikiogre who has not "binged" since sardapedia got overhauled(and i am not really welcome there anymore...) due to an utter lack of anything to work on here). Exdeath64 06:19, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Your comment was very ironic. You said only experienced users should vote, and that there were too many n00bs. However, a newb is a new user, while a n00b is someone who's been around long enough to know better, but is just an ignorant bastard. And, really, I don't think time is a factor at all. I mean, I haven't been here very long, but I think I've looked at the situation pretty objectively. Really, the only thing my inexperience has affected me on is that I don't actually KNOW these people, and with a database this size, it wouldn't matter how active I was: There would still be a chance that I'd never come into contact with them.Neo Bahamut 07:55, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
Neo, i've been since monday but i know the three (including yuan who has left) users here deserve be the admins, we should ask Diablo if there is another way to make this choice because if we keep doing things this way, nothing good is going to come up from this..--TenzaZangetsu 4 April 2009 (UTC)
