I've been discussing this (or trying to) on the IRC, and I've come across inconsistent tags, or tags that seem incorrect. We use "(After Years)" on many enemy pages for that game, but on Skuldier (Interlude), we include "Final Fantasy IV". "(Final Fantasy Tactics Advance)" seems like a mouthful, as opposed to (Tactics Advance). Discuss? And, maybe, make a list of what game has what tags?
Discussed before. People basically said only use the subbest of sub-titles. And numerals and numbers and stuff don't count (i.e.: sub-titles).
So "Final Fantasy II", "Final Fantasy X-2", "The After Years", "Crisis Core", "Crystal Chronicles", "Ring of Fates", "Dissidia 012".
The Tactics series use the full tags because no one moved them. We used to have "Final Fantasy Mystic Quest" until someone moved them all for this reason. Something I didn't like because Mystic Quest.
The full list of exceptions is [[Help:Tags and Disambiguation Pages|here]].
Basically, go ahead and move the Tactics pages if you want. 79.69.207.69 23:27, October 11, 2012 (UTC)

Catuse says at 07:14, October 12, 2012 (UTC) "Somewhere a zealous god threads these strings between the clouds and the earth, preparing for a symphony it fears impossible to play. And so it threads on, and on, delaying the raise of the conductor's baton."
...and fix all the links. Which makes this task nigh impossible. :/
Interlude could be changed to "Interlude", however my only concern is "Interlude" isn't such unique sub-title. We could get screwed over if SE ever decide to make another Interlude game and call it just that. 79.69.202.25 15:55, October 12, 2012 (UTC)
- If it ain't broken, don't fix it. This applies to both tags (Interlude and FFT). I do agree with Anonymous here. For FFT, if TidusTehSacrificer357 decide to change the tag, he better fix all those links that comes with it when changing the tag. If he's not interested in doing all that, I doubt anyone will ever pick up this huge task of fixing all those countless links. Fenrir9 (talk) 16:20, October 12, 2012 (UTC)
Concerning just Tactics Advance: I suppose it could be done. I'd be willing to fix some links. However, first we need to stop moving stuff until we come to an agreement, since we have some pages with the new tag. We also need to decide if a) this is a good use of our time (because at the moment we have several pages to move and links to fix in Articles to Move), and b) How we would go about changing the names. I mean, we don't want to edit a page for each page we move, but if we adjust all the links at once then that could impact the non-editing users (since we'd probably have a bunch of red links).
I have been moving pages, and fixing the links; I stopped last night because I have to sleep. I'm not a robot, you know.
I'm happy to change all the tags myself, but any help would be very welcome. I'm using Catuse's bot to fix pages that have a huge amount of links, though.
That's a good point, there possibly being a new -Interlude-. See, that's why I discussed this first. >_> - Tidus357 01:51, October 13, 2012 (UTC)

I've been moving the pages because it's in accordance with our standards, and it's been done several times in the past. Tags don't include "Final Fantasy" unless it's a main series title. And there is not such an obscene number of links to fix. Our coverage of TA isn't that great so there aren't very many links to each page.
I think FFTA is done. What's next? --Shockstorm (talk) 05:17, October 14, 2012 (UTC)
- I believe FFTA2. (See, that wasn't so bad, was it?) - +DeadlySlashSword+ 05:54, October 14, 2012 (UTC)
- Which would use the "Grimoire of the Rift" tag. Right? 79.69.207.126 13:10, October 14, 2012 (UTC)
- Wouldn't "Tactics A2" be better? -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 13:23, October 14, 2012 (UTC)
- We use sub-titles if they exist. Why wouldn't we in this scenario?
- Okay, yes, it is part of a series that never previously used subtitles. Unless you want to include War of the Lions, but that doesn't count since it's only used in a port.
- There aren't any other examples of this kind of situation. The closest thing I can come to is Lightning Returns, but that was never called Final Fantasy XIII-3.
- But if we are to follow our rule that we use sub-titles then we would use Grimoire of the Rift. 79.69.207.126 13:32, October 14, 2012 (UTC)
- Well, the key difference here is that we don't need the subtitle to differentiate between the game and what it is a sequel/spin-off of, unlike pretty much every other case in the series where a subtitle is used. In addition, I'm quite sure the game is more recognised as "Final Fantasy Tactics A2" than "Grimoire of the Rift", so having our tags refer the the former over the latter will make much more sense to the readers. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 13:42, October 14, 2012 (UTC)

I'm going to start moving to (Tactics A2) soon. If anyone has any objection, do so now, before I start.
