		Okay, Bluer, Vitor and I were discussing over the IRC about the various different types of tables on the wiki. There is already a project to switch to a more consistent colouring of each tables, the proposal is to have a unified table type as well. The preferred type would be modelled after Bluer's table here, or the FFVI Relics list. This means reformatting pages like the Loot (Final Fantasy XII) page and the Final Fantasy V Armor page, which use different styles of tabling. The colours would follow the colour swatch guide. Thoughts?

		I prefer Design A myself. I'll put my support on that. PS: I hope you don't complain that I fiddled with your table up there, it looks exactly the same, I just made it so that my Word Bubble is being forced to the far right.

		The proposed standard design is the rightmost table by the way. We'll be giving it forty-eight hours from my talk template time here so that everyone knows about it, before it gets implemented throughout the wiki.

		What's wrong with B? I like it better than the proposed, and would even go as far as to say that it is easier to read.

		Well, I like A, Ultima here seems to like B. We'll have a vote. Whichever gets the highest votes becomes the new set table fot all wiki stuff. I think we can all agree to that, right?

		If we had wanted it to become a vote/poll, we had already put up those stations below in the first place. So no, there's no voting to be done here, and results do not affect anything. This is just a notification post.

TacticAngel TALK 16:28, 7 September 2008 (UTC) I think the most sensible thing is to ensure that all similar tables are visually similar, not that every table on the wiki needs to look similar. For example, all of the infoboxes on the Final Fantasy # games should look similar. All of the collapsables that go on the bottom of the pages should look similar. All of the tables from the Final Fantasy XI job abilities should look similar. Now... if the Final Fantasy IV tables should look the same as the Final Fantasy XI pages is another question entirely since they are going to be carrying different quantities of material.

		That sounds like a better idea. Frankly, I don't see much of a difference between table B and the Proposal. Then again, I don't know much about tables at all. And by Proposal C, does than mean every table throughout the wiki should have centered text in every cell?

		I'm more fond of table B, myself. Especially when it comes to left-aligned text, which makes it look more distant from the previous box.

		The only real difference between table B and the proposed table is aesthetics - really, it's not much effort to change them. I think Bluer prefers the proposed one as it is easier on the eyes. It's mostly those which follow table A that we're gunning for. If you take a look at the FFV armour page, you'll see it doesn't follow the colour swatch guideline. Changing it to do so, makes it end up like this. Not pretty, and difficult to navigate. Pages like Loot (Final Fantasy XII), which use an alternating colour scheme are even worse - it makes it extremely tedious to add new parts, is easily messed up, and seems rather unfriendly to new/technologically incompetant users (like me -_-;). Hence, the change is for consistency, aesthetics and ease of use. @8bit: Case by case basis - those which have long sections, eg effects, enemies carried on, etc will have non-centred tables. Levels, stats etc should probably be centred. Ask Bluer for confirmation though. @TA: The problem then being tables for recurring abilities, locations, jobs, enemies etc. The simplest solution would be to implement a universal table...Not to mention the tables within each game are different as well.

		Sorry for taking so long to reply. Somehow I have a connection trouble. Anyway, centered text would be limited to those involving digits, like Gil, MP, LP, AP and other numerical data. The rest would follow left alignment. Also, the main row would be centered and bold, the main column only bolded. As well, what we're opting here is to make our tables unique to our wiki. It's true that Table B and the table proposal has merely cosmetic difference - the latter having thinner but more solid border instead of a thick but hollow border of table B. Yuan was right in pinpointing Table A's quirks. TA's concerns on all template standards is taken into account as well.. each template must be unique to its differing purpose. What we're opting right now is concerning the "Content tables". Additionally, IMO Henry did a very good job implementing this proposal into the Weapons list tables.

		More than 48 hours have past, and the issues have been addressed. I'll begin doing this now, starting from FFI to FFXII, followed by spin-offs. If you wish to assist, please feel welcome to do so.
