AND ITS TEH BEST GAEM EVAR! Bar VI, of course.
Glad to hear it, just makes me that much more eager for VI DS....oh come on, you all know it's coming! If IV DS makes money, and it will/has, we will get VI DS!
| |||
|
It won't, VII is way too big a same to fit on a DS, as I heard they barely fit IV on the cartridge.
| |||
If FFVI DS comes out, FFV DS will come first. A few twekings on the dialogs wouldn't come badly :S
Maybe not, it depends on how well V Advance did, I should think. And if we're going to rate their popularity, by how many times I've seen the games on used game store shelves, IV and VI outsold V by a long shot (seriously, I see V Advance in almost every game store I go to, and almost never see IV or VI. That says something).
| |||
I think it depends on tradition more than sales
To an extent yes, but as the scads of remakes, sequels and side-games prove, SE also cares about money. If they can make money off of it, it will happen.
| |||
I would like to see VII on PS3, because then, I might actually play it.
Krystaluvscloud: I want VII on PS3, too. I was want to buy IV DS, if I get enough money that is.
Crazyswordsman - Final Fantasy VI, because Drake says he wants to link to FF7 every day, which is bad because that game is so far inferior to FF6. TALK - 17:03, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
I got it. I must say that, so far, I'm impressed.

Also, keep in mind the DS version has new items, prices, and monster formations so keep that in mind because we need to edit articles.
I got it too, it is awesome. @Faethin: My version is in spanish, probably for the configuration of my DS, is your too?
Arcane Scholar 23:57, 28 July 2008 (UTC) I've already played thru FFIV advance and loved it, but i'm not a hardcore fan. Is it still worth it to buy IV DS?
If you like goofy 3D graphics and voice acting, get the DS Version. Just remember that you can't name your hero "Blue" (the game pretends to let you rename Cecil at the beginning, it's a joke), the crisp FMV video from the trailers are absent from the actual game, there are no Superbosses, and you can't decide your party - even at the end. I like the game, but I can't say I'm not disappointed.
There are two superbosses, Jergon and Protobabel EDIT: It looks like you would like better the GBA version
Well, I have to say this. Maybe I did exagerate when I called it teh best gaem evar. You see, I've found something about the game that has consistently annoyed me for quite a while now: Some of the enemies in IV DS, especially the lunar monsters and pretty much every monster in the Giant of Babil is incredibly cheap. Seriously. Cheap as hell. I think I hadn't fought a boss so cheap as Rubicante the second time I battle him since I fought Echidna in FFIII DS. And the monsters in the Giant. "Laser beam". WTF? An attack that does 1500 damage at least and that can be used over and over and over? And for what? 400 exp? 400 exp is NOTHING at the level my characters are. Truly cheap. </rant>
What the hell?!!?!? 400 exp?!?!? at the cave of summons they give you more exp! Anyways, I have the same rant, the monsters of the Sylph Cave and in the Land of Summons are really hard at times and give you some real crappy exp! But I'm enjoining the game nonetheless

Some enemies are cheap, yes, but others got a lot harder. Milon Z got harder with all his status attacks, Kainazzo got harder with his, and the Mom Bomb's explosion...hurts.
Mom bomb explosion is total rape. ALSO, when Rydia joins the party and you fight Golbez, it is actually hard!
not with dual cast rosa :).just revive her and cast raise twice and heal heal heal!!!
You don't have Dualcast at that point EDIT: Oh yeah.. yeah you do... but it's hard to get it

It seems like for this game defense went down but HP and attack went up...on both sides. A lot of attacks which dealt like 4 HP damage in the SNES version now deal upwards of 100 HP damage. Also, Gil is a difficult commodity (although I'm pissed that it's called Gil now...not because of translation reasons, but because Gil isn't supposed to exist at the time of FFIV because it's named after Edward).
8bit BlackMage - Beyond the Sky TALK - Why do chemists call helium, curium, and barium 'the medical elements'? Because, if you can't 'helium' or 'curium', you... um... ._.; - {{{time}}}
Gilbart!!!! See, this is why you all should have bought Tactics A2 instead. *runs*
Well, I've joined the club of having FFIV DS and I'm as far as entering the Tower of Babil the first time with most of my front row characters (Cecil, Kain, Yang) around level 35 and my back row of Rydia and Rosa needs a bit of leveling up to do before I face Dr. Lugae and Barnabas, I think. Good thing I stocked up on Cottages and other sundries when I had the gil and the chance. What I'm curious to know is simple. How leveled up I should be by the time I beat Dr. Lugae and lose Yang in the DS version?
