		Just a couple more infobox concepts that would be useful to add before FFXV: Faction, for factions such as Shinra, Gestahlian Empire, etc. This one works both with recurring and subseries specific factions. I also propose renaming the category to "Faction", since it's shorter to type and more fitting. Race, as above, works with both recurring and subseries races. Lets you list playable characters (though it should only be used per series). Could possibly rename to Species. Thoughts? Anything that could be added to here?

I don't think "faction" means entirely what you think it means. Yeah, it does mean a group of people, but it has further implications. Not as a gaming term. You'll find it always refers to just an organized group behind one goal regardless of being part of anything larger. Notice how wikipedia:Faction's gaming-related links all use it in this context for one, then there's w:c:fallout:Faction, w:c:civilization:Factions (SMAC) and [4] as other examples. This is as much a gaming term as stats is, it's a gaming wiki, we should call the factions here as well.-- Technobliterator ^T_C 20:37, October 22, 2016 (UTC)

Final Fantasy doesn't have factions as a gameplay element though, but as a story/lore element (the Ivalice series has clans). I'm not sure what would be a better term to use though.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 21:10, October 22, 2016 (UTC)

It doesn't have to be a gameplay element to be a term used in games. It's honestly much more fitting than "Organization" which we currently have. I really think we should go with it. Honestly, I also want to change "Race" to "Species".-- Technobliterator ^T_C 23:03, October 22, 2016 (UTC)

It's hard to say with those examples. Game's that use the term "faction" as clans might actually be referring to factions. Clans in games are groups of people within the playerbase who fight other groups of people in that same playerbase. And with some multiplayer games, the nature of the game means the people you play as would/could be on the same side.

Games often have systems where you can join a group and these are often called "factions", but then that's because in most of these cases the term applies.

"Organisation" doesn't always exactly work either. "Collective"? There isn't really a good encompassing word that doesn't have specific implications. Like I just realised Rin's Travel Agency and Bonga Bugle are in the category, which might be organisations but not many of the other words I'm thinking of. That category probably needs to be subcategories.

We could change the word that appears at the top of the infobox for what best fits. JBed (talk) 19:30, October 23, 2016 (UTC)
