		Concluding from the last forum, splitting certain pages into subpages. Here will just be general discussion about the subpage splitting and reporting any new ideas. So, notes: Subpages are just created at the common sense name, /Gameplay, /Gallery, /Other appearances, and to begin with, only created for playable characters in the main series. We can properly define when to create them in other instances. They will be linked to using {{main}} links in sections. Reasons for this are on the last bullet point. Category names are simply "[Game] player character gameplay", "[Game] player character gallery", and "[Game] player character other appearances". So far, a section in which the subpage is linked to only contains a brief summary. This can change however. For instance, in Other appearances sections, it might be nice to make a table sort of like this one. Still no idea what this means for sideicons. I'm tempted to say not needed. I've also been combining "Non-Final Fantasy guest appearances" with "Other appearances" on the same subpage, would like a second opinion on doing this, though. With galleries under the sections for other appearances, I wasn't sure what to do. Currently I'm thinking it's best to just move all galleries to the /Gallery subpage unless they're a list of cards or something. For the time being, in the example, I haven't changed that yet. Last forum, there was discussion about linking to subpages either as tabs on the top of pages, or in the table of contents. Table of contents won only barely, and there was no strong consensus. More importantly, that solution should really be avoided, as we want to avoid adding any JavaScript for reasons seen in this forum. I would say we should use tabs instead, but plenty of votes for ToC option were votes against tabs. These can still be options at any point in the future when there is a portable solution. To test this idea, I used my favourite page on the wiki, Tifa Lockhart, so you can see at Tifa Lockhart/Gameplay, Tifa Lockhart/Other appearances and Tifa Lockhart/Gallery an example. Please let me know if you have any issues with this approach before this is continued.

This is quite good, although it would be nice if we got some guidelines regarding the "/Gameplay" subpage so there wouldn't be any confusion. Guidelines may be needed for /Gameplay pages. What guidelines are you thinking of? Also for the main gameplay section. On this section, I knew we needed to link to the Limit page and the weapons page, but wasn't sure how best to. Use {{main}} links there as well? All this sort of stuff will probably need deciding on. As for the "Alternate Reality Versions"-like thing, my idea was for other appearances section - currently it's just a dull list, I was thinking replace that with the table and give it images.-- Technobliterator ^T_C 21:09, June 16, 2016 (UTC)

For "/Guidelines" like what (kind of) sections go in there, FF games are rather diverse in gameplay so some help here would be good. I think the link-in-text for her Limits and weapons is a better idea than just putting it on the main: looks a bit more encyclopedic IMO. And I think list is a better option for "#Other appearances" because there are some varying graphics among the many games and it would look rather horrific to have all those different styles condensed in a close space.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 21:16, June 16, 2016 (UTC)

I don't have a strong opinion on tabs or TOC but would these appear on the mobile version as well? When previewing for mobile I don't get a table of contents at all.

Nice to get this done finally though, some main characters' pages are huge and it's slow editing them.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 21:46, June 16, 2016 (UTC)
