Hecko's noticed it too, so luckily it's not just my PC being crap, but it appears we're being forced to use the new look. Of course, this is totally gay, since the new look sucks balls since it displays information in a terrible way.I've tried setting it back in my preferences, but no luck. I think we should complain to Wikia about this.
My Preferences --> Skin --> Remove mark in "See custom wikis (recommended)" --> Save.
P.S. Make sure skin is set to MonoBook.
Thanks, I didn't want to untick that in case something worse happened.I wonder why it suddenly done this though?
Aaaargh, a tick, that's what it was called! In Denmark it is called a (directly translated) "fly leg", but it just didn't make any sense in English. As for the skin, we've had it coming for a while. One could even try them out ahead of time. I just never liked it that much (read it sucked as hell and annoyed me to no end... no offence to the designer).
Are we gonna make a new skin? I know Ren has some css tricks we can use.
I think we should just leave things as they are as to avoid screwing up all the templates used on this wikia. We should probably make a "This wikia is best viewed with the MonoBook-skin"-type message on the front page.
at first the new skin sucked monkey ball's but now I like it, although there is some crap dificult to see but I'll keep the new one
I suppose it is wrong of me on some level to say that 'when I show up at a wiki, I expect it to look a certain way' because, as much as this just makes CSM's skin crawl, this is what the Wikipedia looks like. Its stark presentation whispers softly in my ear 'valid authority' while not distracting me with little bells and whistles.
I want to make it clear to all that when reading my walkthroughs you must switch to MonoBook skin. Any other skin is blasphemy to the sacred test shown within (its like writing Bible passages in human feces). Be sure to switch skins when you link to any of my pages.
I fail to see the problem with writing bible passages in human faeces. In fact, more people are likely to read them that way; they draw more attention. Also, people looking at shit are more likely to need religious guideance than people who are enlightened enough to live on thier own steam rather than by the incling of a failing church as the backbone of a failed, false, and collaged religion. That's using Christianity as an example, but I'm sure I could be equally insulting to any other religion.Back on topic: The new skin is hideous.
Interesing point Blueberry, allow me to expand: The New Testiment should be written in shit, the Koran in blood, the Tanakh in cum, the Dianetics in pus, and the Tao Te Ching in small intestines.
You can find the Religion topic on another forum here, another Blue. Back on track: I am one of those people who prefer the Monobook, as it is much simpler in use for navigation and editing. An observation which may be a little late: The new skin incorporated the banner by Diablo. A beautiful ornament; unfortunately on such abhorrent skin.
