I like the final shot, with all the enemies walking out of flames.
O_O 4:42. Kill me if the one on the left ain't Terra.
They still need a representitive villian for IV, V, and XII. How about Golbez, Exdeath, and...the Undying? (Vayne just won't fit in.) And I'm still looking for Tifa. And if they have Squall and Sephiroth, they need Cloud. @Faethin: On the left there? It's incredibly hard to tell, but I think that is Terra. But if I were you, I won't get my hopes up from a view of and arm and a leg. (Although it would be really cool to have Terra in there. XD)

Whoooooaa... O.o That's Kefka alright, spelled with as 'Cefca' for some reason. I loved the Chaos and Cosmos bit at the end! <3
Damn...Kefka has an ugly face. XD I liked how his voice went from high to low pitched when he talked. He definetely came off as a lunatic. Also, I am almost positive that is Terra near the end. Anyone else notice that both Squall and Frion had alternate costumes on during some quick scenes of the trailer?
I count ten villains in the fire. That means FFV has to go in order to get FFXII in. Who else thinks we can afford that sacrifise? PS: Kefka looks awful. Amano overdid that artwork to a ridiculous degree, while the sprite is far simplier and better. Why couldn't they go with that? At least his acting was good, though not on par with the Joker, Mark Hamill version.
I took my guesses as to who was who in the silhouettes. I'm pretty sure I'm right about the villains, Terra, and Cloud... but Cecil and Bartz are a bit fuzzy. Either way, I was happy to see the trailer (with added confirmation of all the seiyuu so far, yay!) and agree that Kefka is damn scary...

I agree with your predictions, exept I say Bartz and Cloud are the other way around.

Get over it, Blue. That horrible tiny green sprite did a vast disservice to the man's art, and to Kefka's design. Unless you meant the battle version.. in which case I see no major differences anyway. And seeing as Exdeath is clearly visible in the trailer, too bad. Your beloved 12 is out in favor of a much better game.

Kefka....yikes. Garish and bright if ever the words applied, but then, Nomura was going by Amano's original art over the sprites. After seeing Kefka, Zidane and Firion, I am reasonably convinced that Nomura, when he takes the time and effort, can emulate Amano perfectly. Kefka's voice was a bit high-pitched, but then when he whirls around and goes low, it's effective. I suppose I'd have to actually understand his dialogue to judge, but I'm sure he's still the psychotic wise-cracking cackler we love. I loved the little finger twirling he did at CoD's little...mouth things.
Terra...I didn't see her. I saw a gloved hand and a flash of red, but nothing that definitively screams "TERRA!" at me. All the same, we all knew she'd be in the game, who else would represent VI? Maybe Celes, maybe, but Terra still fits more.
THAT WAS SO AWESOME I ALMOST SHIT MYSELF!!!!!! I REALLY want this game. Anyone else notice Kefka looks a lot like the Joker from older Batman cartoons? Still, that was FUCKIN AWESOME!!!
[Saying Something so that ILHI can respond with either "shut up", "you're an idiot", or "go die you asshole", as he seems to every time I ever say anything].

He's despretely in love with me? That seems to be the case most of the time people dislike me (End Game). Except you Henry, you hate everything.

EDIT CONFLICT X2: Stop bitching, please. This is about Dissidia. I just think Kefka's lips are too big, both in their thickness and width. Everything else is great. Also, in the beginning of the trailer, there is a female voice speaking. I don't know if it's supposed to be Cosmos talking, but the only other possible protagonist female voice would be Terra. (Yes, I have given up on Celes after seeing this trailer. T-T) Can Schala confirm who is talking in the beginning? And if you look at the second picture of Schala's website, if you switch Golbez and Mateus, all the villains are lined up in chronological order except for Garland in the center, which makes sense since he is the villain most closely associated with Chaos. Mateus' and Golbez's shadows look similar, they both wear capes and helms, it could be.
Template:HenryA
Oh come all, we all hate something in the series. That's why I play it safe and hate MQ - no one likes that game!
Schala, any chance you could translate a bit of what they were saying, if it's not too much trouble? I'm dying to know what Kefka said...come to think of it, it probably had to do with someone dying :p.
Blue just needs a thicker skin, but that would require an ounce of maturity. He'll stop hating FFVIII before that ever happens.
Well, you're all in luck 'cause I just finished writing up my script translation! Much better than my last whack at it now that I could listen to everyone. And 8-Bit I believe that you are right as I'm looking at it again. Yah, I'll redo the image with Mateus and Golbez switched around.
Ah, thank you mi'lady, you are most generous! Hm..."puppet", "giving him despair"...gee, who was Sephiroth talking to I wonder? *rolls eyes*.
EDIT - Also, this trailer has a bit of audio lag, so here's the Jap site with the same video, higher-quality: http://www.square-enix.co.jp/dissidia/

It's quite obvious that Cecil, Terra and Cloud will be in Dissidia. I'm not sure which hero is going to represent FFV, though.
Gilgamesh! Come on! The last thing we need is white-haired Bartz with the safari zebra-stripe shirt (though brown-haired Bartz with a blue shirt would be better). Gilgamesh beats all, man. He needs to be in this thing.
What they should do, by all means, is include a secret character from each game. Thus, we can have Kain, Gilgamesh, Celes, Seifer and Vivi in the game. We'd also probably likely see Tifa and Yuna too.
| |||
Blue, his hair is only that way because Amano always pales out his colors way too much. For his GBA portrait they kept his hair brown, even though all of the ports were based on Amano art. :P Anyway, I reckon Gil will be a secret character on the side simply because he was in so many, as both hero and villain, that he doesn't fit super well with either side for any particular game. Also, I'm pretty sure I can see Zemus in the trailer, but I heard that Golbez was in.. perhaps Golby and Gil are both unlocks, since they're both bad-guys-turned-good-in-the-end?

I'm not so sure Golbez is in it anymore. I see no distinctive helmet horns in that picture. On the other hand, the third one from the left looks almost exactly like Zemus, with his hands raised like that.

Uh-oh.........Bald Lunarian alert!
Well, they also used Jecht over Seymour and (some would say) Xande over Cloud of Darkness and Edea over Ultimecia.
| |||
I thought that was Zemus too when I first saw it. Here's the identities of those ten fellows (at least my guess). This is from left to right:

Did you compile this list before or after you looked at Schala's list?
Look really close and the heros are revealed a little:
| |||
EDIT CONFLICT: Who? Anyway, looking at the super enhanced version on the official website, I can see that the bloob on the far left has got horns sticking out of his shoulders. He has to be Golbez. That means that the third guy is Exdeath, by default.
Yeah may I remind you guys that the villians list was revealed, so there is no point to fight about what villians are in the game.

Emperor Mateus Palamecia has horns on his shoulders as well. Think carefully... I still believe the villains are arranged in chronological order with the exception of Garland.
I agree with 8bit, I think they are arranged in chronological order.
Nomura stated in his last interview with Famitsu that all of the characters were in this trailer - "In fact, although they appear in silhouette, all the characters appear and shine (smiles). We kept the members of FF4, FF5, and FF6 in the back though." As for the villains, look at the one who is thought to be Golbez and then compare with the DS render and you can see the similarities. Really the only question mark at all in this is Bartz, but out of the four, he has the best chance to be selected quite frank
I still think the 4th figure is Golbez. The way the shadow moves, it seems to be walking, and Cloud of Darkness floats, and the 5th one looks more like Exodus (ExDeath for those who prefer that name)
Here's what I think. Kefka is even creepier in person than in the game. Terra IS in the game- the glove and clothing gave her away. I strongly doubt anyone from FFXII is showing up, and for some reason, I think Kuja is a key character in more ways than one.right
Just letting people know that there is a subtitled trailer out. And actually, it's that last scene of the villains together that has me really interested. Then again, I'm just lapping up all of the cross-game interactions, positive and negative.
