We started with 384 characters. We now have only four: Celes, Gilgamesh, Balthier, and Zidane. Two will go on to the finals for the ultimate showdown next week in the Dragon's Neck Colosseum. But which two will it be? Only you can decide! Get voting!

Okay, not to lay out an essay (and I could), but as awesome as Balthier is, let's be honest, he does not have a lot of character depth, his story is pretty much "what you see is what you get", he has a mysterious past that's coming back to haunt him and it concerns his dad, who hasn't heard that tale? Zidane on the other hand is awesome and is a very interesting and complex character, and a refreshing twist on the "tormented and self-doubting hero" archetype that had begun to populate the series before his arrival.
