What's your luckiest FF battle ever? For me, it was a battle against a monster of the Tomb variety in Djose Temple in FF X-2 during my recent speedrun playthrough. The fucking stone triple-casts Confuse on me and I get three Confused girls running around killing each other. Paine, who was in the Lady Luck Dressphere, was the only one left after Yuna and Rikku were KO'ed. I got so lucky then. Paine used a Fire Gem and killed the stone.
It was both an omen and luck for me, my party members evades Zodiark's Darkja attack (trust me, it negates null-death), after luckily safe from the Darkja, I forgot to steal Serpentarius from the Esper, and just when Basch was about to charge to "steal" gauge, Ashe's "Shock" killed Zodiark, oh, and I ran out of every item and all my party members are in critical health the time Zodiark was killed >.<

one time my brother was fighting necron, necron used grand cross and killed everyone, but steiner had his auto revive. he kept attacking necron with one hp and necron kept using blue claw which kept changing his hp from his max hp to 1 hp. my brother barely won. if were talking about me i remember fighting garula in FFV and i only survived by switching my knight onto a monk and just made him gaurd son when garula attacked i would retaliate and i got no damage, but everyone else died.
I think I can easily win this topic, so to speak. Battle against Ozma, one of the toughest optional bosses in the whole series. I've beaten the crap out of it, I have no idea how long is left. However, he suddenly casts Doomsday! It seriously hurts my entire party, and heals him a little bit, since he absorbs it. However, my Vivi has Counter-Magic equipped, so up he goes and readies a Doomsday of his own. I'm like "Oh shit, Vivi will heal Ozma and kill my own party! Bastard!" The attack lands, and when the dust settles, my party are completely fine, and Ozma was just dealt 9999 damage, killing it. Words cannot describe how gob smacked I was in that moment.
At the end of FFVII where you battle safer sephiroth he summon nova and got to hurt my party and then killed cloud and tifa but barret was still alive and i used his limit attack and sephiroth started cracking....

Lucky 7777ing Sephiroth in FFVII. It only happened once by sheer and total chance. I didn't even know what had happened until years later.
My friend and I had been playing Final Fantasy X for about three hours now. I was fighting Lady Yunalesca. Twice we had died on her final form because she used Mega Death when nobody was in zombie status. After an hour and a half of playing we got her final form down to 10,000 health. Yuna was in zombie status with only 100 hp while Auron and Rikku were fine. It was Yuna's turn and Yunalesca was going next. We figured Yuna would cast cura on Rikku for additional healing and then after Yunalesca attacked we would switch in Rikku for Kimahri (who was also in zombie status)and kill off Yuna to revive her back at decent health... We didn't realize she had regen on, she healed Rikku and she died directly after, leaving us with nobody in zombie status, we had failed twice before because of mega death, and she hadn't used it all game...thank god she used her zombie spell, I could've have sworn that was going to be the end. We were soooooo close to losing all that time.

Diablo, did your party absorb Vivi's Doomsday? "Return Magic" is the best ability ever. No FF IX team is complete without Vivi. Which is why I hated the Oeilvert part of the game.
I'll tell you about the luckiest and the unluckiest FF momento. The unluckiest far outweights the luckiest. The luckiest moment for me on any FF was during the fight with Necron, FFIX. Grand Cross! Everybody dies, except for Freya, who having jumped lands on his face and pulls a Wind Waker ending on Death Incarnate. I killed Necron on my first try. Cheers! Yay! We rock! Game finished. The unluckiest moment for me on any FF was at some point in the World of Ruin, FFVI. Setzer gambled and cast three times in a row Joker Doom. How the hell is that even possible?

hey feathin that was a lot like my brothers.
For my luckiest moment, I reiterate the story from my trip into Dragon's Den in VI Advance.
I cast Float on the party and battle Dirt Dragon II. He uses 50 Gs, removes Float, and Quakes to kill my entire party....except for Setzer, he has the Paladin Shield which nulls Earth. So I cast Life, but the SOB uses Quake again and kills them. So after three turns of trying and failing to revive my party, I went "screw this", and went on the offensive using Setzer's Fixed Dice. You read correctly, one on one against one of the new Eight Dragons. I used Regen, Safe, Haste, anything I had to keep Setzer alive and thanked god for every free turn Dirt Dragon gave me with an Earth attack (cuz they didn't hurt me). It took time, patience and a lot of Elixirs and X-Potions, but Setzer was able to bring the dragon down. It was fun, challenging and cool. And I will never, ever, try it again.
