Talk about a long title (it's bound to screw up something...). Anywho, for those of you who don't know, we (as in "I") kinda de-railed the topic Why I Think CSM Lives In New York, and in a misguided attempt to make ammends, I'm creating a whole new thread (which this wiki seems to be all about these days)! For those of you who haven't participated in the discussion, it's very simple. I'm making a short "animation" (more like a collection) of FFWiki editors who give shout-outs to the FFWiki community. All you gotta do if you wanna participate is to insert your talkbubble below mine (even if you already did this in the other topic, then please do it again) and have it contain the hexidecimal code of your favorite color, which I will use for the buttons (see Color chart for help). Then make a sound recording of yourself (or several) and send it/them to: vma_aka_unknown [AT] msn [Doooot] com and mark the topic "Voice FFWiki <your screen-name>". If the files are too large to be attachements, please upload them somewhere else, and send me the download link. THE DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 30!!! Here's what you can do on the soundclip:

Well, my real favorite is "lawn green" (#7CFC00), but if that turns out to be too garish, you can use "forest green" (#228B22) and that will be fine. Hooray! This is so exciting. I just went out and bought a spiffy new mic (the one I was planning to use got donated to charity without my knowing -_-). I'm so glad Diablo is doing this, too! I was worried you wouldn't, and that made me sad. :( | |||

I'm a bass, and have excellent voice control. I really do wish that I could show you up, but then we have the same problem again. You'd be amazed just how low tech the BH operation is: I don't own a scanner, I don't own an Ipod, I don't have Photoshop, I don't even have a cellphone or E-mail. Hell I have to use my sister's computer just to get on Powerpoint. Really the only thing this computer can do is play DVDs, music, Microsoft Word, and go on the interent. It is indeed a sad state of affairs. | |||

Yeah, I realize I could've spoken a little louder... but maybe I was unconsciously keeping my voice down to avoid my embarrasingly ugly accent. I'm kind of a perfectionist regarding languages, and since I'm not really good with sounds I tend to speak as little as I can if I can't do it in my own language. I digress, as usual, when speaking about languages. :P

It's whatever program you use to access the internet. I use Firefox, but there's also Internet Explorer, AOL (if anyone still uses that... -_-), and Safari on Macs. Once you have downloaded the file and your web browser is open, go to "File" and choose "Open File" or something like that. Then, find wherever you saved the holiday shout-out file and open it. But if you think my normal voice is something, you should hear my singing voice. It's okay, BH! It took me a minute to figure out, too. That page isn't very well laid out. The ads take up most of it and what you're supposed to do isn't very clearly marked. Up towards the top, it says "Please enter <three-letter code> here:", then there's a text field and an orange button that says "Download". I think you can probably get the rest. Hope that's descriptive enough. ^_^ And I'm sorry to hear you're sick, Hecko. Get well soon! :( | |||

LOL! Diablo sounded like he was going to suffocate after he rattled that all off. I too commend the accents. All your voices are very deep (except MMIL of course)... if I had sent a file you would all be laughing at my squeakiness. | |||
Well I finally got it working (though only once), and I can now give my comments. Ha, you all have such funny accents! Damn foriegners, we'll get your oil soon enough. Accept for MMIL, who has the most amazing voice out of you all. Man she does sound like a Supercomputer AI, kinda like EVA from Command & Conquer. Also I finally learned what gender Faethin is. This was pretty cool, I only wish I could have been in it. Maybe next year. | |||
