So, where does the wiki stands on the remakes? If there's nothing that has been decided yet in the policies, maybe something should be written about it because I obviously don't know. This is not a complain, just wondering where the wiki stands and how to deal with information regarding the remakes. I've put a lot of thinking for the following idea, hopefully it comes to fruition. How about we put a header/title called See Also. Sorry, I can't come up with anything better than this, if you can then suggest it. Basically, we put under this header a "if you are looking for the "insert game name here", please go to: "insert wiki here link". I'll take FFA for my example.

"If you are looking for information on the remake entitle Sword of Mana, please click on the link below for specific information on FFA's remake(s)." (without the quotes). Then we put a link to the appropriate Mana wikia page of the game {{See|insert link here}}

Same goes for the character articles themselves. This would be for the game article itself and the characters (playable, guest, and villains) articles only. The other wikis don't have the location articles for specific location articles for them created yet so they wouldn't have this "See Also". I am not planing on creating these other/missing articles on the other wikis, don't count on me for their creation. Unless we want them on our location pages that leads to the Sword of Mana game article (let call it the default link) on the other wiki until someone create the article page on the Mana wiki.

Then, we... well more like I (I don't mind doing it) could cross the three wikis (Mana & SaGa) with a See Also header that point to this wiki's appropriate articles. The reason I suggest this is because this wiki, like others have said above, we only cover the GB games and not their remakes which I fully agree. So, having a "big" header under the contents thingy that everyone can see when accessing the article with a small explanation and a redirect to their appropriate articles on the other wikia (Mana & SaGa) would be the best thing. Hopefully, this will stop wikians to insert info about remakes on this wikia. Feedback would be welcome and appreciated. DS Remakes[]

There's something I've been pondering for quite some time now, ever since I've finish FFLIII. Well, more like ever since the Borgin page had DS info added to it when I was finishing the related pages. I also saw DS info on the FFA character pages as well. The question here is this, where does the wiki stand on these remakes?

Is there a policy dealing with these remakes? I know only that we cover the GB version. Obviously, the remakes are not Final Fantasies anymore. I know that FFA was completely converted into a Seiken Densetsu (Mana) game. I played it a few years back, nothing similar to the original.

So, what's the policy in dealing with these remakes on these pages? Do we trim down the current DS info, put the relevant info under a trivia section with a small phrase or two? How much info should we cover on the DS remakes, what about DS artwork, etc. I remember myself putting picture of FFLIII DS artwork up for deletion a long time ago when creating those pages and removing it from the character pages as well. Another user had put them up. This is because that I believe that the wiki should only cover the GB version, and not the DS version.

So, where does the wiki stands on the remakes? If there's nothing that has been decided yet in the policies, maybe something should be written about it because I obviously don't know. This is not a complain, just wondering where the wiki stands and how to deal with information regarding the remakes. Fenrir9 (talk) 01:52, January 9, 2013 (UTC)

We should probably have a Mana series article and an article for the other one too. These series articles will be linked in the relevant place. 79.69.199.77 16:02, January 9, 2013 (UTC)

Same goes for the character articles themselves. This would be for the game article itself and the characters (playable, guest, and villains) articles only. The other wikis don't have the location articles for specific location articles for them created yet so they wouldn't have this "See Also". We could make {{SeeManaWiki}} and {{SeeSaGaWiki}} templates and put them below the intro. Or however you like. It's a worthwhile idea. JBed (talk) 18:08, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
