{{TacticAngelText|11:05, 7 January 2008 (UTC)|I have significantly less angst towards FFX2 than I do towards FFX. Why? Final Fantasy X tried to be a real game but somehow fell way short. I don't know what I hated most: the mind numbing color, the cheery attitude permiated with death, the fact that they were fighting Sin, that someone might actually consider that a 'storyline', the most androgenous lead ever, the lack of any really stand-out characters, or the monster collection...
  +

What I did like about it. I liked Lulu's character design. I found Rikku strangely endearing. Blitzball was totally addictive. The ATB system was actually fairly engaging on 'wait'.
  +
  +
All I have to get over to enjoy FFX2 is the fact that there is no serious storyline and that I am living in a world that is still brightly colored and one of the most rediculously gaudy ever. The sad fact remains that many of the costumes that represent the jobs in FFX2 are better designed than what everyone around them is wearing. Yeah, the're slutty, often, but then they do live in a tropical paradise and there's not a lot of reason to dress up (and no one else does).
  +
  +
Did I mention FFX2 uses a job syste? Job system + tactic angel <nowiki>=</nowiki> usually the win. The only FF game that has so far failed at this equation is FFTA and thats largely to do with how to learn stuff rather than the job system being inherently bad.
  +
  +
The ATB in FFX2 is severely engaging. I would say this is both its greatest benefit and one of the reasons I will not likely be playing it again. Its fun, but it just drains me after a while. I cannot sustain that enegy.
  +
  +
The minigame is aweful. You manage blitzball... what a step backwards.
  +
  +
The plot sucks. Hey, the world sucks. No change. Vegnagun may be the most uninspired end boss of all time, but he is actually harder than Sin, and more creatively named... so yeah. Its not as bad as people say it is. Most of the people here are just mad that they didn't to see Auron in a miniskirt.}}

|text=thx for the feedback everyone. I'll probably pick it up try it at some point. While you've pretty much all said that the story is crap, is it crappy enough that it actually ruins what happens in FFX? The whole Tidus coming back thing doesn't sit well with me. It's like FFVII AC, it was cool but bringing back Rufus and Sephiroth back totally ruined their dramatic deaths. Maybe it's just me, I hate it when characters die dramatically and then you find out they escaped at the last second or were brought back to life (strangely you'd think based off that I would have hated ffiv but for some reason it didn't bother as much there.) Anyway, thanks again everyone, maybe i'll rent it for a little while and buy it if I like it. Haha, guess I should have thought of that in the first place, =).

|text=I enjoyed FFX-2 a lot, because I really didn't expect that much out of it. It was the first direct sequel they'd ever tried with an FF game, it was clearly fanboy-service, and it wasn't even priced as high as a game in the "main" series. I think people just wanted it to be an improvement on FFX when SE just wasn't aiming that high. Think of it this way: If FFX wanted to be a long, dramatic anime series, FFX-2 would be the OVA where all the characters get goofy and go to the hot springs to relax. Enjoy the quirky battle system, enjoy the art of its graphics, enjoy the fanservice, and stop maligning all the people who put hard work into putting out this game. It's just a game, folks.}}

# The story is like Square's version of "Calvinball." They just make it up as they go along.
  +
# Bringing Tidus back to life is the last thing I want to do.
  +
# The gameplay kicks ass. This is the best system in the whole series. You can enjoy the game if you can manage swallowing everything else about it.
  +
# Yep, there's lots of singing in this game. If you want to try and gulp this game down, I suggest pressing the mute button on your remote control. It makes the game that much less agrevating.
  +
# I feel sorry for Paine, that she has to be surrounded by sluts.}}

|text=I think that FFX-2 perfectly follows the Hemmingway style for stories. No concievable plot or interesting characters... check. The storyline being abandoned for several chapters on a pointless tangent that goes nowhere... check. Annoying females and sterotypical males... check. Anti-semtism... check. Yup, Hemmingway is one terrible author.}}

|text=I'm one of the few people who actually enjoyed X-2. I completely and totally enjoyed it.
  +
  +
1. I quite enjoyed X-2's story. X had such a depressing storyline that I was relieved to be thrown into an easy-going, carefree game. I would definitely say that the game is geared more towards young girls (and me, lol). But I'm sure other people can enjoy it to. Just be forewarned, its very light-hearted and all that. They make jokes and goof off and...all the things normal girls their age would do. And with people who have a problem with the attitude change in Yuna...She worked her whole life trying to master her craft so she could give her life to defeat Sin. She was able to defeat Sin forever without sacrificing herself, and if I were in that position, I would be living it up! =D
  +
  +
2. Yes, reuniting Tidus and Yuna at the end is optional. There are actually three separate endings (Good, Great, and Perfect if I remember correctly). A big part of the storyline is Yuna missing Tidus and trying to find him because she found a sphere recording with a man that looks like him. And if you choose to activate the ending that brings Tidus back, it is explained how and why he is allowed to come back.
  +
  +
3. I enjoyed X-2's battle system. It's probably my favorite of all the games. I loved the garment grids and being able to change jobs in the middle of a battle. That way, you can start strong with a party full of warriors, but if your health starts to drop, you can have someone switch to white mage and cure the party before switching back and continuing to kick ass.
  +
  +
4. There's a song in the opening (real Emotion) and then towards the end of the game, there's a song that Yuna sings on the Thunderplane (1000 Words). Besides that, there is occasional humming and Yuna going 'lala-lalalalala-lalalalalala' and things like that, especially when you are using the songstress dressphere.
  +
  +
5. Going against the grain, I actually didn't care for Paine. I am a HUGE fan of Lulu, and I just felt like Paine was a rip-off of Lulu. She's the 'goth' girl with pale skin and leather and red eyes. She has the same attitude as Lulu too, only I found it obnoxious on her because I would have loved to see Lulu in the party instead of Paine (with a new outfit, of course).

{{User:Henryacores/Talk|text= I actually share the preference about Lulu as this pal over here does...It yould be comic to have a pregnant woman in the party XD. Anyways, that would make the story even more confusing and stupid :S}}

|text= Well I wasn't suggesting that they make her pregnant and '''then''' put her in the party. I could have done without Lulu and Wakka shacking up and making a baby.}}
