:Oh hm... that actually makes a lot of sense. I think I'll write the other job/ability pages first as a priority, and maybe get to the spells at the end. I guess most spells will be fairly basic but there will be a couple of complex ones...--{{User:Technobliterator/Talk}} 01:54, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

One thing that appears to be missing from your new layout is noting which abilities confer that job's stat bonuses to other jobs, you can see in the current version of the page you redid that Barehanded is noted to set the character's strength to base +26, but I don't see that anywhere on your new page, just a bit about Freelancers/Mimes inheriting stat bonuses.

If there's enough information for a full page then, yeah, abilities should have them, but for a lot of them there's just not enough. Probably best to handle them on a case by case basis.

First order of business in this specific case is to ascertain what, if anything, was tweaked/rebalanced between releases. One can already figure that the four extra jobs and the associated dungeon were flat out removed. If that is indeed the case, which bits got retained? And so on, and so forth. Any other ideas? Maybe it could have an actual list of all equipment the job can use without any Equip abilities in effect? Or maybe at least "the Monk's ultimate armor piece is such and such". Maybe a suggestion what accessory is good if there is one especially good for a job.

I think individual ability articles are always good. Can have how to obtain, images from different versions, mechanics (there's a FAQ in GameFAQs), any comments on when you should or should not use it, list of weapons it works with or whatever, or a list of enemies that are susceptible.

(I wish they had this on PSN, I would def play! FFV is my favourite SNES FF game!)Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 17:30, 11 November 2021 (UTC)

The idea for the job pages look good, I really have no gripes with anything to suggest any changes. However, I do think the first portion in Kelt's response for strong and recommended equipment is a good idea in my opinion.
As for abilities, yes, I'm 100% for doing that. Excellent for suggested strategies, where they can be bought, where some can be obtained early from exploring areas (e.g: Esuna and Float), summon pages too, etc. Anything that can aid in removing all the access images from the parent ability and summon pages. >~>
However, I guess a question I have is if we should cover the Black Magic/White Magic and Spellblade forms as separate articles? Since spells like Flare function differently - Black Magic Flare is just heavy non-elemental defense ignoring damage, while the Spellblade Flare functions uniquely by boosting the user's damage dealing potency with physical attack abilities (e.g Rapid Fire). Thoughts? --Miphares (talk) 17:52, 11 November 2021 (UTC)

Looking good!

A Blizzard page could have damage formula when used with Magic command, and damage formula when used with Spellblade command, and where you can buy it and how much it costs, when in the game you can first get it, can it be reflected, does any equipment have it as Added Ability, and what enemies use it against you. I think magic and spellblade could just be in the same ability page, since you need to buy the Blizzard spell for it to work with both, anyway? Or maybe not, the Reflect thing doesn't matter for Spellblade, probably. But maybe yes, if there was a different section. Could be Blizzard, called Blizzardblade when used via the Spellblade command, is a spell in FFV....Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 18:32, 13 November 2021 (UTC)

Oh and FFV has Elemental Affinity mechanic, so could have a list of all equipment that boosts the power of Blizzard. Only relevant to elemental spells, though. For status spells... could have a list of all enemies it works against (though making such lists could be quite time-consuming).Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 18:41, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
