There are a lot of enemy pages on the FF wiki that are one liners, and a lot of similar related enemies for that class of enemy. This seems to be an issue especially with the older FF games, with many enemies that are simply palette swaps of each other. Would it be better to class all these enemies into one single enemy class page with separate sections for the individual enemies?
(wow, i was just typing in my old talk template :D) -- In-short, no. They are one-liners because the userbase of the wiki don't concentrate their time on these articles. Despite the countless amount of versions, players always concentrate on the newest game, or the one they liked best which is usually VII. This strategy is used in places already. FFXI does, and Tactics and TA2 (but not TA) since the enemies in each genus in this game are so similar, it's easier. But there's enough information for the NES/SNES era games to not have to. We just need to find them. Also bear in mind, the infoboxes have a lot of information in them. Or at least should. The infoboxes aren't very complete in a lot of cases. 88.109.167.144 13:52, April 3, 2010 (UTC)
I think that's a pretty good idea. For example, you could have Goblin at the top of the page, describe that enemy, then go down to the palette swaps of Goblin (I.E. Black Goblin), post their individual stats and if they have differences or not. It'd be really useful when weeding out the original FF1 enemies from their Dawn of Souls counterparts.
... but the current infobox does that, clearer and better. 88.109.167.144 22:29, April 3, 2010 (UTC)
