Hey, could I request an admin to add edittools here? They're the little box underneath the edit window. Simply, just copy and paste the text below to MediaWiki:Edittools (edit the page):

We're not wikipedia and most of people here are proud of that for some reason. I don't see why we even need all those extra tools when you can just type the code in manually. In fact it seems like it would be an even greater trouble to make all that extra code that we probably won't even use that often.
They're good for templates and such. The youtube code is in there, among others that are very useful. I find them very useful and I hate wikis that copy Wikipedia. I also noticed people don't like ref templates, I've created some (see the category [[:Category:Reference templates|here]]), though if you don't like citing things, that's fine. I know this isn't wikipedia, I've edited many Wikia wikis and enforce that they do not be like Wikipedia. But ref templates are useful for lots of things, it would be nice if they weren't deleted. Anyway that's my two cents.--Richard 23:32, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
I did sorry I'll sign it now. Also, since I noticed that BlueHighwind is strongly opposed to ref templates, I guess they can be deleted. But the edittools would be very nice.--Richard 23:38, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
Since the sandbox is also being nominated for deletion, if it is deleted, you can remove the link to the sandbox.--Richard 23:58, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
I feel similar about this as Highwind does. I've never used the edittools, as it would slow me down by a lot. It's quicker and easier (at least for me) to just type the code and then being able to continue typing without having to slow down, instead of all the "remove hand from keyboard to grab mouse, scroll down, locate the right code, click the "button/link", scroll back up, click between the tags, let go of mouse, then start typing again". And like Highwind said, the only ones that are even slightly useful, probably won't be used anyway anymore. But I leave to the other Sysops since I'm way too tired to care anymore and I'm still pissed about how lousy the Xbox 360 controller is for fighting games...
now that I'm thinking this could be useful for newbies on the wiki (the great amount of new users we have these days is pretty big).
I have been here for three months and have over 1500 edits to my name and yet I don't know what at least a third of those things are. I wouldn't mind a symbol insert. I have to use Wikipedia everytime I want to use an up-side-down question mark.
Crazyswordsman - Final Fantasy VI, because Drake says he wants to link to FF7 every day, which is bad because that game is so far inferior to FF6. TALK - 02:09, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
I put the top part in. Just the top part. I agree with Richard that the edittools are nice, so I put that in. But since we use talk page templates and not four dohickies, the rest is inconsistant with our Wiki.
