Wow, just...wow. I've died a dozen times already, more! Like, those dragons and their group attacks waste me! The Behemoth is the least of my worries here! Five or six times, I met a pair of Blue Dragons, double Ice Storm, my party is dead. It's insane. Fortunately I figured out the trick and equipped Cecil with Dragon Helmet and Cursed Ring. Now he absorbs Ice, Fire and Thunder, and the bitches can't do shit to him, ha ha. But, seriously, I am just making a mad dash for the Save Point now, because I've been going at it since 9 am at work today and I do not want to have to do this again. My save grace is that, as I said, with 4500 HP and elemental absorption, Cecil is shrugging off most enemy attacks here.
Tell me, DS players - is Zeromus as hard as this? I'm almost at level 70 and I hope that's enough for the Z-man.
I guess you mean Lunar Subterrane? Well, those pairs of Blue Dragon freaked me out too, but give to your first row item to resist ice, and Rosa and Rydia should resist it good as they're in back row. I still don't know if it's physical or magical, so Protect and Shell can help. Actually, focus on killing one fast with Bahamut+Haste (Rydia), Throwing Shuriken, and attacking. Jump is not a good idea, since the other take more damage, I think. But there's no miracle way. BTW, I was over 70 with everyone but Kain when I beat one of those pairs for the first time. Seems the levels in the DS release have to be higher if you want to have a chance. Hope I helped ;)
Oh I kill the Blue Dragons fine, now, like I said Cecil is immune to their attacks, and even better - Stop. Cast Stop on them, and pummel them. Silver Hourglasses kick ass.
| |||
You think Blue Dragons are tough? Wait till you meet the Red Dragons... x_x But don't worry Drake. After the insanity of the Subterrane, Zeromus is a *caitsith*ing joke.

Yeah compared to that Zeromus is...very easy. What is the Cait Sith thing supposed to mean he is a very good character in FF7. If it weren't for him I would have lost against Sapher Sephiroth. He used Life2 all.
Bah, Red Dragons aren't much either, I still have Cecil. The only difference between Red and Blue Dragons is that I use Hold instead of Stop for them.

You all beat me to saying Zeromus. The Lunar Subterrane enemies are cheap, you ain't fought Zeromus. You want to get into fights with Zemus's Mind; he's easy to beat... or was it the other one...
But still, Lunar Subterrane enemies are supposed to drain away the rest of your stock while training up before the final fight with Zeromus... at least in the SNES and PS versions. ILHI 23:12, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
I had to train to something insane, like level 80 to beat that game. By the way, that is the highest level I have ever obtained in a Final Fantasy game. You can take out pretty much anything else by level 70.
@Blue: lawlz. I beat it at 60-something. >8D I'm a magician. @Drake: O RLY? O RLY????????? Wait till you fight Proto Babil and Geryon. O_O But yeah, the Lunar Subterrane is definitely hard.right
Hm level 80 for all your characters, bring like 99 Shurikens and have Edge hide to make everything else easy. That's how I went through all my playthroughs and it made the game easy including when facing Proto Babil and Geryon.
Ugh...my brother tried taking one of the chests containing armor in that place and he kept getting owned by the Blue Dragons and their Icestorm attacks....Heck, I'm still stuck in the Sealed Cave in the Underworld cuz the Chimera Brain kept owning me with their group attacks...The difficulty curve shocked me compared to the GBA version which was hella easy...
Yes, those sections can be hard, but I didn't think of them as THAT hard. Believe me: once you teach Cecil the Brace augment (unless Yang is currently in the party in which case eh) you'll be okay. Having Rosa cast the buffs at the start of the battle helps.right
If you do the Namingway sidequest (I know it's a pain in the bum, but...), then you get the Safe Travel augment, which was a godsend for me in the final dungeon, as I got completely owned by that Red Dragon in the chest until I was around level 70. I beat Zeromus at levels 72-75 (and found it very easy!). Oh, and ILHI, it's Zemus' Breath that just repeatedly casts Libra.
Just beat Zeromus. Was pretty easy once I got the feel of the battle. Sure, he killed me several times, but I figured out the pattern and got him. Gotta say he's got some cheap attacks. Group-casting Osmose and Flare? Bitch had it coming. And damn that Black Hole, gotta recast Haste and Slow! "Bubble" was fun though, I cast it once just because I could, got my party to 7000 HP each and Zeromus couldn't do shit to them. And I got the Dark Matter too.
New Game +, here I come! | |||
