Images on this wiki are odd[]
Maechen's image at the top is odd. You can only see the top, like someone zoomed in. (See here: [[1]]), but when I click on the image it looks fine. Other articles feature blurred out image, like there are low res. Fenrir9 (talk) 22:04, April 26, 2014 (UTC)
Not sure if this is the right place to post, but it's another image issue, so ... I've noticed that lately only the first three or four images in an article will load and display properly - the rest of the article leaves white space or empty frames the size of the missing images, thus: [[2]]. The images load fine when clicked or opened in a new tab, however.50.160.88.196 07:30, June 18, 2014 (UTC)
- Huh. Not seeing an issue on my end. What version of Firefox is that, and do the images load fine on this version of the page? -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 11:47, June 18, 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, this is true. I thought maybe it was only me, so thank you so much for reporting it. Depending on when it occurs it has also stopped a variety of other behaviours, such as the non-loading logo and preview dropdown/button function not working.
- For this wiki and it doesn't seem to be on any other. I'll rollback the JS page soon to see if that fixes anything, but I don't know why it is happening.
- In Oasis it only loads images when you scroll past them. This saves on load time immensely on image-heavy pages.
- HOWEVER, an error is being thrown. And I can't tell why. It (a jQuery object of /something/ I believe) is unable to find /something/'s parent. I don't know what that /something/ is, but it likely isn't what's meant to be passed to the function that is calling it. 2.102.230.93 14:37, June 18, 2014 (UTC)
- Fixed, I hope. I figured it out quite quickly once I saw what I had added. Though it's still not logical.
- jQuery is lazy in some of its functions and doesn't account for methods in Object.prototype.
- And apparently the same happens with Arrays too. So I have to go the long way round and use Object.defineProperty for these elements. JBed (talk) 15:01, June 18, 2014 (UTC)
I was having that issue too, so thanks for fixing it!Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 15:36, June 18, 2014 (UTC)
