Alright, so VisualEditor is up in Wikia Labs, which is a sort of beta test for WikiFeatures, as part of the transition to Wikia's new skin, Darwin. Now, this isn't like the old visual editor (buggy, unusable mess). While it isn't perfect (it particularly doesn't seem to like templates and tables, meaning it's not particularly useful for experienced editors), it could make editing much easier for the average passerby, who just wants to add in the latest glitch GarlandTheGreat posted, or whatever the coolkids edit these days. I enabled it at w:c:finalfantasy.answers for anyone who wants to try it out. (You have to turn on visual editing in Special:Preferences > Editing if you haven't already) sooooo, do we want to enable this for a while (I'm thinking a week) to see if we want to enable this feature permanently when it's released from Labs?

I don't see a problem with at least giving it a chance. It's gotta be better than Oasis at any rate.
Your link send me to wiki does not exist link. Also if it's bad at tables and infoboxes then how is it any better than the current visual editor? 2.102.231.102 23:12, December 10, 2013 (UTC)
- No random spaces and crap, as far as I can tell. As for the link, that means wikia changed how answers wikis are handled by w:c: without telling anyone, which is just lovely >.< C A T U S E 05:31, December 11, 2013 (UTC)
I'm not gonna use it anyway. It's another Wikia's attempt to make things easier for dummies while nobody asks for. Those developers need to stop this. I hate when Windows 7 tries to "help" me with its newly bullshit genius features. In 2030 I may have a robot servant that helps me pee but end up destroy my balls instead.
^Lol :p. Anyways, I don't care strongly either way, but it better not add extra spaces or convert apostrophes into gibberish like it used to. Hated cleaning up that stuff. --Shockstorm 23:56, December 10, 2013 (UTC)
- From what I've seen (not exactly extensive testing) it doesn't ruin spacing. I remember disabling the old visual editor at the FFA wiki because it turned templates in people's signatures into six lines of gibberish, which the new one doesn't. C A T U S E 05:31, December 11, 2013 (UTC)
This is why we have bots :P Tia-Lewise 00:04, December 11, 2013 (UTC)
