Although I downloaded I,II,IV,V,VI for the GBA emulator I have a question. I really don't like using emulators and probably going to erase the files because I feel that not actually having the games is ruining the experience. So my question is...Are the versions on the playstation worth buying because the internet said that they weren't due to loading screens? Or should I buy the actual games for GBA? Or is there a way to bring it from emulator to either my playstation or my GBA. thanks.

Emulators have always a cut in quality. I haven't played neither of the Anthology games, but GBA is pretty much Origins without MP charges, Hard Mode and artowrk gallery and FMVs. Also, the Advance ports are very good, and all but VI suffered graphical enhancements.
Loading screens? What? Origins, Anthology and VI play fine. ILHI 17:02, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Don't get Anthology or Chronicles. The loading times are nightmares (there's no actual loading screens though), and really distract you from the gameplay. It takes 6 seconds for the menu or a random battle to load. Origins isn't nearly as bad, but you're better off getting the PSP versions instead, since they have the FMVs with them too.
I'm going to assume the US version (which has FMVs, right?) is inferior to the European release which has only an opening FMV. Because it loads instantly. ILHI 21:33, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

As I'm aware, Origins was on one disk in America, and two in Europe. So there's an FMV for both FFI and FFII.
Anthology is alright. The loading time for VI is a nightmare but has the Woolsey translation. V is alright, but sadly, V's experience is diminished because of a really terrible translation. I'd suggest the GBA versions for VI, V, the SNES version for VI (if you can grab hold of it, if not just get the Anthology and skip the GBA version for V), and the Origins for I and II if you want an actual challenge when playing the game.

I've played VII on an emulator. The problem is that my computer is such an outdated piece of crap that it took a week to realize that it didn't have the processing power to run the emulator. At least, that's the only explanation I have as to why it stopped working after running fine for a week.
