First of all, as Final Fantasy XIV's discussion page has already gotten quite a bit of traffic, I would like to suggest that people place their excitement, complaints, speculation, etc. here, and keep the discussion page just for arguments about what should/shouldn't be put into the article.
Second, I would like to plug a new FF14 forum, for anyone interested in discussing it further. http://www.finalfantasy14-online.com/

I think the FFXIV plan comes out too early. FFXIII isn't even out in the States yet. Kuzlalala Squee! 11:50, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

- Why is this thread pointless? Have you seen the FF14 discussion page? The article is 2 days old and its already huge. What makes a thread discussing an upcoming main series game pointless? --Zephyrus11 12:08, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
- Because the worldwide research on time travelling is currently clearer than this game's content to the public. - Henryacores^ 12:27, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, in that case I'll go tell the people on the discussion page to stop talking, because they aren't allowed to yet. --Zephyrus11 12:33, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Anyway, in response to Kuzlalala's statement, I don't think it's too early. This isn't the first time we've known about more than one numbered Final Fantasy at once. I'm pretty sure IX, X, and XI were all announced at once. In fact, weren't X and XI planned for the Ps1 at some point?--Zephyrus11 18:30, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
- You'd be surprised at how common plans for multiple games is. For example: The RTS Halo Wars and FPS Halo 3: ODST were anounced at about the same time by Bungie and ODST isn't even out yet and they already anounced "Halo: Reach." They try to make as many games as often as possible in order to make as much money as possible.--Werefang 16:14, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Isn't it weird that there is a bit of coverage on XIV and not Versus/Agito XIII? Square perfered adding another FF project to an already ongoing FF project than something like The World Ends with You or Chrono Trigger.
That isn't really that much coverage. It was one teaser while Versus has had multiple trailors and it isn't actually that close to coming out. As for other game, that isn't really relevant. Square enix has never been much of an ad group. I think I've only seen one comercial for anything by Square or SE, and that was something for Advent Children in a movie. As I said about Drakengard, that I consider to be one of their crowning achievments and that I had to find on wikipedia.
