Fort Tamblin is a field map in Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-. It and the surrounding area, Mt. Tamblin, are the main field map of chapter 1. The main mission of the chapter is for Zack to infiltrate the fort singlehandedly and defeat the garrison inside. Based on the player's performance and how many soldiers were defeated, the player can obtain better items.
Locations[]
Mt. Tamblin - Mountain Path[]
The starting area of the mountain, the Mountain Path simply comprises a road toward the fort. Along the way, as well as a few battles occuring, a cutscene occurs in which Angeal Hewley talks to Zack Fair about his upbringing.
Mt. Tamblin - Near Fort[]
In the Near Fort area, a cutscene occurs before entering the fort, and a large battle against the enemies defending the fort's gate occurs. After this, the fort can be infiltrated.
Fort Tamblin - Corridor[]
The main area of the chapter where the player must hunt down and defeat as many enemies as possible. While most will be fought along the main path itself, some appear in towers and in hidden areas in the wall, meaning the player must seek them out first.
Fort Tamblin - Courtyard[]
The penultimate area of the fort. Here, a few battles are fought, and two cutscenes occur: one with Yuffie Kisaragi and one with the Crescent Unit captain.
Fort Tamblin - Arena[]
This area simply involves a boss battle with Vajradhara Wu and Vajradhara Tai.
Mt. Tamblin - Animal Trail[]
The player is taken to the trail after infiltrating Fort Tamblin. At the end, Ifrit is fought as a boss.
Quests[]
Zack enters Mt. Tamblin near the start of chapter 1. A few cutscenes take place in the mountain before entering the fort. In Fort Tamblin, the player must defeat enemies hidden in all areas of the fort, and on-screen are a list of enemies the player have defeated.
The chapter finishes on the mountain again after completely infiltrating the fort, where Ifrit is fought.
