Formidable Flames of Fury was a Battle Ranking event in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis.
Mechanics[]
Players fight pre-selected bosses under a series of preset buffs and/or handicaps in Trial mode, then move on to set their own parameters in Free Challenge mode. The higher the difficulty set by the player, the bigger and better the rewards given at the close of each fight. All rewards in battle are cumulative and progressive, i.e. determined by the highest Stage Level attempted and the total score computed with the Stage Bonus used as a multiplier. Players are scored and ranked against others in their assigned group, as in Dungeon Ranking events.
Battles behave as in Crisis Dungeons: as the enemy(ies) attack(s) the party, their moves will deplete the party's HP as such that MaxHP will also shrink in battle. If a unit should be KO'd, they cannot yet be revived.
