Fonjeantaine is a character in Final Fantasy XIV. He is a former employee of Eshtaime's Aesthetics in Ul'dah who has traveled to Tural in an attempt to restart his life.
History[]
After Fonjeantaine had lost his job at Eshtaime's Aesthetics in Ul'dah, he visited Sharlayan in the hope of finding a new job. Having failed in his goal, Fonjeantaine learned that a ship sailing to Tural had opened a vacancy at the last minute. Believing that Tuliyollal seemed like the perfect place to start over, Fonjeantaine boarded the ship where he met the Warrior of Light.[1]
After Fonjeantaine arrived in Tuliyollal, his self-doubt persisted, and he hesitated to seek employment. Wandering through Wachumeqimeqi, he encountered Wuk Lamat and the Warrior of Light, both of whom encouraged him to face his fears. Though reluctant at first, Fonjeantaine revealed his struggles as a goldsmith, expressing his insecurity about not measuring up to his peers.[2] With their support, he mustered the courage to approach Ropli, who, after hearing his story, offered him a position as an artisan. Grateful for their timely intervention, Fonjeantaine found a new beginning in Wachumeqimeqi.[3]
