Description
Focused Thrust is an ability for Cloud in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, provided by the 
Buster Sword. Cloud thrusts forward to an enemy in a straight line, hitting multiple times and in an area-of-effect. The ability greatly increases the target's stagger gauge.

Focused Thrust is provided by the buster sword, and learned with use. Because this is the default weapon for Cloud, it will be learned quickly. It gains proficiency bonus when the ability staggers an enemy.

Focused Thrust is an ability for Cloud that deals physical melee damage, meaning it is based on his 
Attack Power. When used, Cloud thrusts his blade toward his target, hitting all enemies in a narrow line in front of him. Focused Thrust deals greatly increased stagger against all enemies, but particularly against pressured enemies.
As a source of damage, Focused Thrust is outclassed by Braver, Triple Slash, and Blade Burst, all of which deal more damage with one ATB charge. However, for staggering enemies, it is unmatched in Cloud's ability set. Focused Thrust should be used against pressured enemies or enemies close to stagger, where his Infinity's End can be saved as a means of defeating them.
Focused Thrust also pushes smaller enemies away, which can be useful to punish those out of position and isolate them from more dangerous enemies.
