Flare Breath (フレアブレス, Furea Buresu?) is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is often associated with the Bahamut summon, dealing group-wide non-elemental damage to targets.
Appearances[]
Final Fantasy VII Remake[]
Flare Breath is a magic ability used by Bahamut when summoned by the player. Bahamut will randomly use the attack on enemies, breathing flames from left to right, dealing group-wide magic damage to targets with an ability power of 100.
Flare Breath is also an enemy ability used by the Bahamut and Whisper Bahamut bosses. The enemy variant functions similarly to its player counterpart, but has the additional effect of inflicting the Silence and Slow statuses for 15 seconds.
Final Fantasy XIV[]
Flare Breath is an enemy ability used by Bahamut when fought inside the final Turn of The Final Coil of Bahamut. It deals heavy damage to all players within a cone-shaped area of effect.
Final Fantasy XVI[]
Flare Breath is an ability for Clive from the Eikon Bahamut, being one of several abilities automatically unlocked. When used, Clive unleashes an assault of azure flames from his palms, hitting all foes pulled into range with a damage over time effect. Clive is able to move when performing the ability, allowing him to attract more enemies. It has a 27-second cooldown.
Flare Breath is also used by Bahamut during its eikonic encounter, dealing moderate damage to the player.
Final Fantasy Dimensions II[]
Flare Breath I - III are abilities for Morrow from the Bahamut signet. When used, Morrow will leap into the air, unleashing a massive beam of light onto the targets, dealing neutral-elemental damage to all targets 3 times. Its has the additional property of dealing double damage against dragon-type enemies. The ability costs 120 MP for Morrow to perform. Flare Breath reuses the same animation of the Megaflare Ζ-Ω abilities from the "God" variant of the Bahamut summon from the Japanese free-to-play version.
