Flame (火炎放射, Kaen Hōsha?, lit. Flame Radiation) is a recurring enemy ability in the series. It is Fire-elemental and normally targets all party members, dealing moderate damage. It is similar to Blaze.

Final Fantasy IV[]
Flame is an enemy ability that inflicts major Fire-elemental damage to the party. It can be used by Death Machine, Tyrannosaurus, Zeromus EG, Lunasaur, Lunar Ifrit, Lunar Shiva, Ifrit, and Mech Dragon.
Final Fantasy VII[]
Flame is an enemy ability that was programmed to be used by Diablos as a counter to Ice-elemental attacks, but due to a bug, it is never used unless the enemy is manipulated.
Final Fantasy IX[]
Flame is an enemy ability that inflicts a random amount of Fire-elemental damage to the party. It is used by Cerberus, Grenade, Ironite, Ogre, and Worm Hydra.
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest[]
Flame has an attack power of 80, used by Adamant Turtle, Flazzard, and Salamand, inflicts Fire-elemental damage to one party member.
The Final Fantasy Legend[]
Flame is an ability that has 10 uses and has an attack power of 4 which deals Fire damage to a group of enemies, the damage formula is base on Mana. It is used by Dragon 1, Chimera, LavaWorm, Dragon 4, Dragon 5, Fireman, Lilith, Tiamat, FensWolf, Mazin, Phoenix, Salamand, Su-Zaku, and Su-Zaku2.
Final Fantasy Legend II[]
Fire is a magical attack that has 15 uses, it also increases a Robot's HP by 9. The damage formula for Fire is the user's Mana x5. This ability target's all enemies, and deals Fire-elemental damage. It can be used by Baby-D, C-Fisher, Chimera, Dragon, F-Spider, FireMoth, Great-D, Ironman, LavaWorm, Lilith, Mazin, Nitemare, ROBO-Z, Salamand, Su-Zaku, SunPlant, Young-D, Ashura, Minion, Sleipnir, and Venus.
Final Fantasy Legend III[]
Flame is a Fire-elemental attack that damages one enemy or an enemy group. It can be used by Wisper, F-Liz., Fireball, DualMask, Igasaur, Salamand, and Young-D.
