Flame is a physical ability for Lightning in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. It is a physical oriented version of the Firaga spell exclusive to the Purple Lightning garb. It deals heavy physical fire-elemental damage to multiple foes in a large radius.

Flame Lv. 3 is automatically obtained as the locked ability for the Purple Lightning garb, which can be obtained from the "A Rose by Any Other Name" quest in Luxerion.
Mechanics[]
When used, Lightning rushes to the enemy, unleashing a massive fiery explosion from her palm, dealing heavy fire-elemental physical damage to the enemy and others surrounding it. If the opponent is susceptible to fire-elemental attacks, or is inflicted with the Curse and Imperil statuses, they will be launched into the air.
Flame's damage depends on Lightning's current physical attack power. It costs 40 ATB to perform and can be used while airborne.
