History[]
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail[]
Firmalbert was approached by Tentoawa and the Warrior of Light, who were searching for an Elezen woman with red hair and a scar, who have stolen a powerful artifact called the Cradle of the Sleepless. Recognizing the description as Leophyne, and despite the confidentiality usually surrounding such matters, Firmalbert chose to trust in the Warrior of Light, sharing what he knew about Leophyne's past. He said that Leophyne was a disgraced former knight expelled from the order, Firmalbert understood the danger she posed if she used the artifact's abilities to transfer fatigue and induce sleep. Firmalbert promised to inform his superiors so they could formulate a plan to capture her and prevent any further misuse of the Cradle.[1]
Later, Firmalbert informed him that someone matching Leophyne's description had been spotted near Camp Dragonhead. Tentoawa led the Warrior of Light to the outpost, only to be redirected to rescue a supply shipment under attack by beasts. Alongside the Warrior of Light, Tentoawa fought off the creatures, only to discover that the Temple Knights had mysteriously fallen asleep during the attack. After reporting to Firmalbert, Tentoawa explained that his village used the Cradle to keep him awake as the Wide Eye, while Loazenikwe, the Shut Eye, bore the burden of his sleep.[2]
Firmalbert arrived with news that more Temple Knights had been found asleep on duty. He suggested that following the knights could reveal Leophyne's whereabouts and directed the Warrior of Light and Tentoawa to assist Ser Redwald at Falcon's Nest. After the confrontation at Gorgagne Mills, Tentoawa fell into a deep sleep, and Firmalbert assured Warrior of Light that he would be safe in the Knights' care. Firmalbert also revealed that Leophyne had also orchestrated the release of dangerous criminals, furthering her scheme to undermine the Temple Knights' reputation.[3]
Eventually Tentoawa, who was from the same village as Loazenikwe, arrived in Ishgard and prepared a medicine to awaken Tentoawa.[4] Later, Firmalbert expressed concern over Leophyne's disappearance, fearing she was biding her time for another strike. They discussed how odd it was that Leophyne's actions were isolated to Ishgard's Temple Knights. Their hypothesis suggested that, as a former Temple Knight, Leophyne was exploiting weaknesses she knew well. After investigating, they suspected Leophyne would target a delegation traveling to Ok' Zundu, the party returned to speak with Firmalbert, requesting an audience with Ser Handeloup and devise a strategy to lure her out.[5]
Ser Handeloup contacted Sonu Vanu explaining the situation and the Zundu agreed to help with the operation. After informing Tentoawa and his companions, they traveled to the Sea of Clouds where they faced Leophyne. With the Cradle of the Sleepless back in its rightful hands and Leophyne seemingly vanquished, Tentoawa and Loazenikwe returned to Ishgard to report their success. Handeloup expressed deep gratitude, noting how the bond between Ishgard and Ok' Zundu had grown stronger through their shared struggle.[6]
