Use[]
Firestorma is useful when battling a multiple foes weak to both fire and wind-elemental magic damage. Due to its multi-hitting and elemental affinity, Firestorma can easily increase the stagger waves of multiple targets when cast in quick succession. The spell is best equipped onto garbs with high magic oriented stats and ATB amounts.
As a mid-game exclusive spell, Firestorma is useful when tackling multi-foe encounters after the first main scenario difficulty increase. Its potential shines in both the Wildlands and the Dead Dunes, due to many enemies in the zones having stagger conditions involving the spell's respective elements. In addition, the spell is beneficial to use against the stronger versions of the Dead Dunes and Yusnaan main scenario bosses. Players should prioritize using Firestorma and Fira/Aerora as their primary spells to increase stagger waves, while weaving in Firestorm during former's cooldown periods.
Its damage can also be increased by 20% - 25% if Lightning is equipped with the Coldflame Droplet or Thunderstorm Droplet accessories. Players cannot obtain these accessories until they defeat the specific Last Ones exclusive to the Final Day, making this strategy only viable in later playthroughs.
Etymology[]
firestorm is a conflagration which attains such intensity that it creates and sustains its own wind system. It is most commonly a natural phenomenon, created during some of the largest bushfires and wildfires.
