Uses "Fire2" on all opponents
Description
Fire Fang is a battle item item in Final Fantasy VII that casts Fire2 on all enemies. It is the Fire-elemental counterpart to the Bolt Plume and Antarctic Wind.

Mechanics[]
Unlike when casting the spell Fire2, using the Fire Fang does not take the user's stats into account in determining damage. The final damage is calculated as :

The damage is then modified as per the enemy's resistance to Fire-elemental damage; i.e. double if the enemy is weak to Fire, half of they resist, 0 if they nullify Fire, or healing if they absorb Fire.

Fire Fang outside of challenge runs is a fairly mediocre item, as by the point the player are able to farm the item from the Dragon, they should have better sources of damage, including Beta or Fire2 proper from the Fire Materia. In addition, the stronger Fire Veil can be bought in bulk in Wutai without the need of farming enemies, making it a far superior item to use over the Fire Fang. Fire Fangs may still be of use during "Homecoming of a Miserable Daughter" when the party's Materia is taken away, or in the Battle Square.
