An unnamed Final Fantasy XV MMORPG is a planned mobile game based on the 2016 game Final Fantasy XV. First announced in 2017 with an aim to release in 2019, no developmental updates were released until 2020, where the game was once again announced, and its scope expanded.

Initially announced by Square Enix during a Chinese conference in December 2017, the game was announced as an original title based on Final Fantasy XV, with a planned release in mainland China in 2019.[1]

The game resurfaced in early 2020, with development now led by JSC, a Korean development studio, in collaboration with GAEA, a Chinese development studio, and to be published by Shanghai Oriental Pearl Media, the publisher for Final Fantasy XV in mainland China. Now an MMORPG, the game is said to take place in a parallel world to Final Fantasy XV's, running on the Unreal Engine 4. The game is to feature the cast of Final Fantasy XV in addition to original characters, with large scale multiplayer features, expanded lore for the world of Eos and new locations like "the Great Pagoda" and a Floating Continent. Alongside these announcements the game was also confirmed for a global release, with more info set to be revealed later on in the year.[2][3][4] Despite this, no announcements have been made since.
