Below is a list of spells in Final Fantasy XI. They are classed under Skills: Healing Magic, Enhancing Magic, Enfeebling Magic, Elemental Magic, Dark Magic, Divine Magic, Blue Magic, Summoning Magic as well as para magic such as Ninjutsu, Songs and Wind and String Instruments. Trust Magic is a special type of magic that is affiliated with no magic skill, has no job or level requirements to use, and costs nothing to cast.

Blue Magic[edit | edit source]

Blue Magic is usable by the Blue Mage job class. It is governed by the Blue Magic skill, only available to Blue Mages who have an A+ rating for it.

Blue Mages do not always have access to all of their learned spells at a given time. They only have access to a select few spells at a time. Blue Mages must equip, or "set", their spells to use them. Setting most spells also grants stat bonuses or reductions, and setting certain spells together can grant certain job traits

Summoning Magic[edit | edit source]

Summoning Magic is both a category of magic and a type of magic skill. It is used by Summoners to call forth powerful avatars to do their bidding. Most summons will remain perpetuated in battle alongside the Summoner, and will constantly expend a small amount of MP, known as its perpetuation cost, to remain summoned. However, a small number of them will only appear to use a special move and then vanish. For those that remain perpetuated, they can be controlled by the Summoner using Pet Commands.

Ninjutsu[edit | edit source]

Ninjutsu is a type of magic usable by the Ninja. Ninjutsu requires the use of Ninja Tools which are kept in the player's inventory.

Trust Magic[edit | edit source]

Trust Magic is a class of magic, with which adventurers can call forth "alter egos"–doppelgängers of various well-known non-player characters–to travel alongside them and assist them in battle, much like party members.
