Loath to look a gift chocobo in the mouth, however, he asks you to craft a cotton scarf and a pair of cotton shepherd's slops for him. Prepare the requested garments and deliver them to Redolent Rose, ready for a final fitting.

  • Redolent Rose has a momentous task in mind for you.
  • The guildmaster believes you are finally ready to undertake your first Sunsilk commission. Your client awaits you outside Sunsilk Tapestries on the Steps of Nald.
  • Your client, a wealthy Lalafell named Mamajaru, bids you make a materia-enhanced cotton acton that will not hinder his training in the gladiatorial arts. However, he neglects to specify the type of materia he needs. Consult with the guildmaster to determine the best course of action.
  • The guildmaster expresses doubt as to Mamajaru's ability to distinguish between different types of materia, and suggests you use whichever kind comes readily to hand. He adds that if you wish to learn more about materia, you should seek the counsel of a scholar who dwells in a camp near the Bonfire in central Thanalan. Prepare the materia-enhanced cotton acton and deliver it to Redolent Rose.
  • In what apparently passes for a show of approval, Mamajaru takes your acton and departs with nary a word of thanks. Redolent Rose, however, is happy to praise your work, adding that it is a weaver's task to make the world see the client as the client wishes to be seen─even if that wish has no basis in reality. ※The next weaver quest will be available from Redolent Rose upon reaching level 25.

  • Redolent Rose has need of your assistance yet again.
  • A sudden deluge of orders has the Weavers' Guild working at full stretch, and Redolent Rose cannot spare the time to attend a consultation with one of his clients. Go in the guildmaster's stead to the Gold Court and speak with Babawai and his daughter Kokomo.
  • Your meeting does not prove as enlightening as you had hoped due to the complete disinterest of your young client. Return to the Weavers' Guild and tell Redolent Rose what you have learned.
  • After a moment's consideration, Redolent Rose decides to craft a velveteen dress. Conscious of Babawai's reputation for exacting standards, he concludes that only the finest fabric will suffice. Weave a bolt of high-quality velveteen and deliver it to the guildmaster.
  • The guildmaster praises your velveteen, and assures you that it will make a most magnificent dress─albeit one which he suspects Kokomo has no intention of wearing. ※The next weaver quest will be available from Redolent Rose upon reaching level 30.

  • Redolent Rose has a job perfectly suited to your talents.
  • Wawarukka, the miner whose loyal custom Redolent Rose seemed so eager to reward, has approached the guild with another commission. Unusually, however, it would seem he seeks something other than mining gear this time. Speak with Wawarukka to learn the details of his request.
  • Wawarukka is smitten with a girl from a wealthy family, and is eager to make a good first impression. To this end, he wishes to purchase the finest pair of velveteen gaiters money can buy. Craft the items to the best of your ability and deliver them to Redolent Rose.
  • You discover to your horror that Wawarukka's new gaiters are but a small part of a gruesomely mismatched ensemble. Even as Redolent Rose tries to warn the poor fellow that he's making a terrible mistake, the oblivious Lalafell bounds off to profess his love, leaving the guildmaster to comfort himself with the thought that the unwary lady may yet see past his friend's bizarre appearance. • The miner explains that his previous attempt to woo Kokomo ended in failure. However, he refuses to give up, and intends to approach her wearing a new ensemble. He bids you prepare a high-quality linen shirt for this purpose. Craft the item as requested and deliver it to Redolent Rose.
  • To compensate for his ignorance of Ul'dahn fashion, Wawarukka enlisted the help of his friends when preparing his new outfit. Alas, the end result is a veritable hodgepodge of conflicting designs, and your linen shirt is no exception. Unable to stop the miner yet again, Redolent Rose falls to his knees and cries out in despair, only to rise to his feet moments later and excuse himself. • During the fitting, Kokomo unintentionally reveals that she has feelings for her secret admirer. Before you can proceed, you must first obtain approval from the miner. Speak with Wawarukka and obtain his permission.
  • While surprised by the guildmaster's proposal, Wawarukka is willing to accept it, acknowledging that his ignorance of fashion has been the cause of his previous failures. Craft a woolen beret, gown, and gaskins of the highest quality and present them to Redolent Rose.
  • During the fitting, a depressed Wawarukka reveals that he saw Kokomo in the company of a wealthy suitor not long ago. Convinced that all is lost, he flees the guild in a fit of despair, proclaiming himself unworthy of Kokomo's affections. • Redolent Rose is furrowing his brow most furiously.
  • Mamajaru, the wealthy Lalafell for whom you once crafted an acton, intends to propose to Kokomo. Upon learning of this, Wawarukka rushes to the guild, exclaiming that he must tell the girl how he feels before it's too late. To that end, he begs you and Redolent Rose for a set of fine garments so he can make the best possible impression. Craft and deliver a high-quality pair of patrician's bottoms, a high-quality patrician's wedge cap, and a high-quality patrician's coatee to Redolent Rose─the guildmaster will prepare the other pieces.
  • Wawarukka is overjoyed by the ensemble you and the guildmaster have prepared. However, it may all be for naught─Kokomo is currently in the company of Mamajaru, and the guildmaster suspects that the proposal may be imminent. Wawarukka quickly departs for the Gold Court to see Kokomo, and Redolent Rose bids you follow to observe what transpires.
  • Though hesitant at first, Wawarukka rushes to Kokomo's side when Mamajaru attempts to strike her in a fit of anger. Filled with newfound confidence, he confronts the wealthy heir, who then flees. Now alone, Wawarukka and Kokomo stare deep into each other's eyes and begin a long-overdue conversation. Having observed that things are proceeding smoothly, you quietly excuse yourself. Return to the Weavers' Guild and tell Redolent Rose what you saw.
  • Upon hearing your account, Redolent Rose cannot help but laugh. Though clearly pleased to have helped the two young Lalafells, he asserts that he has acted only as a professional serving his clients. The future of Wawarukka and Kokomo's relationship is hardly certain, but he nevertheless compliments you on a job well done. ※The next weaver quest will be available from Redolent Rose once you have met the following requirements: ※ You must have registered a product key for FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward to your service account. ※ You must have completed the main scenario quest “Before the Dawn.”

  • Redolent Rose has a faraway look in his eyes.
  • It seems wanderlust is upon the guildmaster, who wishes to see Ishgardian nobles in their finery for himself. Alas, his commitments keep him in Ul'dah, and so he bids you go in his stead, and learn what passes for fashion in the Holy See. Unfortunately, the Weavers' Guild has no contacts in Ishgard, and so Redolent Rose suggests you speak with a guard of House Haillenarte in front of their manor's doors. Do so now, and hope that they will not throw you off the premises.
  • In spite of your airtight reason for being there, the guard politely informs you that House Haillenarte cannot afford your services. However, Bartelot continues, House Durendaire may be able to. Speak with the guard in front of Durendaire Manor.
  • Though you are once again turned away from the noble house's door, the House Durendaire guard suggests you speak with Glenda, a pious soul recently in need of a weaver. Find out why by speaking with her in Saint Reymanaud's Cathedral.
  • Glenda happily exclaims that you are the weaver to answer her prayers. It appears the widow has a daughter named Averil, who cannot─or will not─learn weaving. Glenda asks that you act as tutor to her willful child, and asks that you speak directly with Averil near the Arc of the Venerable.
  • You find Averil sitting near a fountain. Upon introducing yourself, you are treated to a tirade─the girl is sick and tired of living at home, prisoner of her mother's every whim. She had wanted to become a chirurgeon, but Glenda put paid to the very notion, and saddled her with weaving, a pursuit Averil has no love or patience for. However, Averil could use some new clothes, and since her mother is paying you, tells you to wait for her order. ※The next weaver quest will be available from Averil upon reaching level 53.

  • Averil asks you to distract her mother for a spell, as she wishes to go to tea with her friends. Glenda does not approve of this clique, and so has hidden Averil's favorite dress to prevent her from going. Allow Averil the time she needs to search her own house by visiting with Glenda in Saint Reymanaud's Cathedral.
  • Glenda is disheartened to learn Averil has not yet called upon your skills as a weaver, but is more than happy to detail her many thoughts on Ishgard's youth. You listen politely at first, but after the second bell you can feel your eyes glazing over, and by the third you are sleeping on your feet. Just when you think you can take no more, Glenda announces it is time for her to head home. Return now to Averil near the Arc of the Venerable, and pray that this ordeal has not been for naught.
  • Thankfully, Averil has found her dress. Her outfit is complete but for a pair of gloves, which she wore until they were unusable. Now, she bids you craft her a pair of high-quality holy rainbow gloves to match her favorite dress.
  • Averil is overjoyed to try on the holy rainbow gloves, and praises them to the high heavens. • Averil has a dreamy air to her.
  • Averil had an amazing tea, in no small part because her love was at the party. However, she is distressed to learn that he is bound for the front lines. Averil has made up her mind to join him when he leaves to keep him safe as a chirurgeon. Now, she must improve her own skills as a conjurer, and asks that you fashion her a hat. But not just a chirurgeon's hat, for then her mother would catch wind of Averil's plans. Instead, the hat must be fashionable. Unfamiliar with fashion herself, Averil asks you to speak with the more dapper townspeople to find out what is in vogue.
  • The natty townsfolk have informed you in no uncertain terms that cavalier's hats are in. Return to Averil and tell her of this interesting development.
  • Having heard your report, Averil requests that you fashion a cavalier's hat for her. However, she is unsure how to make it worthy of a conjurer, and so bids you speak with Redolent Rose in Ul'dah.
  • Though Redolent Rose is a bit taken aback by your request, he nevertheless rises to the challenge. He recommends holy rainbow cloth as perfect for your current project. Now, fashion a high-quality holy rainbow hat of healing and deliver it to Averil near the Arc of the Venerable.
  • Averil is thrilled with her new hat, and is in the middle of extolling its virtues when a young soldier stumbles up, wounded. Averil uses her magicks to heal him, then introduces him as Freskin, her “special” friend. Before the conversation can go anywhere, however, Averil realizes it would not do for her mother to see her together with Freskin, and shoos him away. After he has gone, she tells you she means to practice her conjury, but will likely have more to ask of you soon. ※The next weaver quest will be available from Averil upon reaching level 58.

  • Averil's eyes are shining with glee.
  • Averil reveals that she is now officially a chirurgeon, and can join Freskin in battle. Glenda may suspect something is up, however, for she has recently demanded that Averil spin a wool donation. Averil has done so, and asks that you take it to her mother in Saint Reymanaud's Cathedral.
  • You hand over the wool donation to a nonplussed Glenda, who demands in return that you tell Averil to fashion monastic robes. Return to the Arc of the Venerable, and inform Averil now.
  • Averil is shocked to hear her mother's request. Much as she would like you to make the monastic robes in her place, she understands that she must do it by herself. However, Averil continues, her mother never forbade you from making the materials for the robes. To that end, she asks that you spin her three spindles of high-quality crawler silk.
  • Using the crawler silk you painstakingly spun, Averil weaves and sews a fine set of monastic robes that pass even Glenda's stern inspection. With a hint of devilish glee, Averil announces that she will be staying out longer and later, and Glenda walks off in a huff. Averil says she will continue practicing, and will call upon you one last time when the day of battle draws near. ※The next weaver quest will be available from Averil upon reaching level 60.

  • Averil's face has the grim resolution of one bound for war. In order to complete this quest, you must have learned the advanced recipes contained within Master Weaver III.
  • The time is almost come for Averil to leave for the front lines of battle, and, unsurprisingly, she has decided not to tell her mother. Subsequently, she asks you for raiments suited for conjury in a style that will raise no suspicion. She bids you once again question the best-dressed townsfolk to learn what garments are in style this season.
  • Opinion amongst Ishgard's socialites seems split between doublets and bliauds. Return to Averil, and offer her a choice between the two.
  • After a moment's thought, Averil decides she would prefer the doublet. The reason is simply that there is an old doublet in her house, one that Glenda may have worn in times long past. Yet there remains the question of fabrics: what could best be tailored to fit a conjurer's needs? Consult Redolent Rose in Ul'dah to find out.
  • Upon hearing of Averil's plan, Redolent Rose realizes that the essence of Ishgardian art─fashion included─is transience. Many of the young who leave for war never come home, and are as candles burning brightly but ever so briefly. Returning to the matter at hand, the guildmaster tells you that chimerical felt may be the perfect fabric, as being both wonderfully warm and absorbent of aether. Fashion now a chivalric doublet of healing, and deliver it to Averil near the Arc of the Venerable. In order to complete this quest, you must have learned the advanced recipes contained within Master Weaver III.
  • Averil gratefully accepts the doublet. She briefly laments that she cannot tell her mother she is leaving, and bids you to see her and Freskin off from the Arc of the Worthy. Await them there, that they have someone to say good-bye to.
  • Dusk has fallen over the Holy See as Averil and Freskin arrive. Both thank you for seeing them off, and are just turning to leave when Glenda appears. The widow has seen through her daughter's charade, and reveals her own tale of loss: she went to war as a young woman, to protect Averil's father. She failed, and found herself with child but without her lover. When Glenda learned Averil meant to follow the selfsame path of conjury, she panicked and did all she could to stop her daughter─and so inadvertently pushed Averil towards the battlefield. Glenda does not agree with Averil's decision, but she has chosen to support it. You watch as Averil walks away with Freskin, mayhap to return, mayhap not. ※The next weaver quest will be available from Redolent Rose once you have met the following requirements: ※ You must have registered a product key for FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood to your service account. ※ You must have completed the main scenario quest “The Far Edge of Fate.”

  • Redolent Rose has a choice task for his prized protégé.
  • Redolent Rose can scarcely contain his excitement at your arrival. As the guildmaster tells it, he has an appointment to meet a most promising new trading partner from the Far East, and he is confident that the presence of his most talented protégé─namely, you─would help the negotiations proceed even more smoothly. Seek out the young master of Daitenya in the markets of the Ruby Road Exchange, and do try to make a good first impression.
  • The young master introduces himself as Keimei of Kugane, a port city of the land of Hingashi. He explains that he has traveled to this realm with his female companion in hopes of finding Eorzean fashions that he could introduce to his homeland. When the young man expresses concerns that the garb of the Ul'dahn dancing girls may not quite suit Far Eastern sensibilities, Redolent Rose suggests that he pay a visit to the palace ball, where he might find the attire of the visiting Ishgardian delegation more to his liking. The youth expresses his enthusiasm, and at the guildmaster's request, you agree to accompany your two guests to the Royal Promenade.
  • Keimei and his female companion find themselves besmitten by Ishgardian attire, in particular the bustle worn by the Lady Laniaitte. It would seem that the young master is now fully convinced that Eorzean fashions would find a receptive audience in his homeland. His companion has also heard that you are an accomplished weaver yourself, and coyly expresses her interest in one day wearing one of your creations. You set off for the Weavers' Guild, where your new friends are doubtless hammering out the final details with Redolent Rose.
  • Much as you expected, the negotiations have been completed without a hitch, and Redolent Rose triumphantly declares this day the start of a new era for his guild. Your new associates take their leave, expressing their eagerness to see the wonderful garments you will produce for them, and extending a cordial invitation to visit them in Kugane one day. Shirk not your training, that you might be able to share the wonders of Eorzean fashion with your friends from across the Ruby Sea. ※The next weaver quest will be available from Redolent Rose upon reaching level 63.

  • Redolent Rose's eyes are gleaming with excitement as you approach.
  • You arrive at the guild to find Redolent Rose beside himself with joy at the sheer variety and quality of silks that arrived in the first shipment from the Far East. He also shares with you some unexpected news: Master Keimei of Daitenya has invited you to Kugane to personally oversee a series of commissions of considerable import. With the blessing of your guildmaster, you set off for the land of Hingashi, that you might forge yet stronger bonds with your new trading partner, and broaden your aesthetic horizons in the process.
  • Master Keimei welcomes you to Kugane and promptly explains the nature of his request: he intends to bring the trends of Eorzea to the Far East and usher in a new age of fashion and enlightenment. To that end, he would have you weave a dress in the Ishgardian tradition to be worn by a geiko─a Hingan dancing girl─who has struck his fancy. Head to Sanjo Hanamachi─the flower district─to learn more about the request from the girl herself.
  • You arrive in the Hanamachi to find that the geiko in question, by the name of Kotocho, is none other than the young woman who had accompanied Master Keimei to Ul'dah. She reveals, under the condition of secrecy, that the idea of bringing Western fashions to her homeland was originally her own, though one that the young master was quick to adopt. She would have you fashion for her a dress in the Ishgardian style, with a butterfly motif to match the meaning of her assumed name, in hopes of rising above her peers and claiming a position of prominence in the flower district. Impressed with the girl's ambition and resolve, you make for Daitenya to procure the fabrics you require.
  • Master Keimei is most impressed with Kotocho's concept for the dress, and encourages you to commence work on it as soon as you are able. Any materials you need, he explains, will be provided to you free of charge if you but speak with Yagiri, who attends the stall beside him.
  • Yagiri is more than eager to furnish you with an ample quantity of fine Ul'dahn fabric, imported especially for the occasion by Master Keimei. He assures you that there is plenty more in stock, and that you need only speak to him again should your initial efforts not be to your satisfaction.
  • Master Keimei is quite taken with the dress you have fashioned, and immediately summons Kotocho from the flower district, that she might slip her arms through its sleeves. She emerges wearing your creation, the very picture of Eastern and Western sensibilities come together as one, and all present bask in her beauty. With Master Keimei's encouragement, she vows not to let your needlework go to waste, confidently declaring that she will usher in a new age of fashion in the Hanamachi, and Kugane as a whole. Continue to hone your skills, that you might continue to provide her with daring new fashions that will challenge the conventional sensibilities of this land. ※The next weaver quest will be available from Keimei upon reaching level 65.

  • Keimei would have you fashion another masterwork for his butterfly.
  • The dress that you fashioned for Kotocho has clearly made an impression. To hear Master Keimei tell it, the girl is the new darling of the Hanamachi, and─despite her relative lack of experience─has received an unprecedented invitation to perform at the inaugural Kaiko-odori, a festival celebrating the opening of Kugane's port to the world. The young master is eager to capitalize on the opportunity, and would have you fashion for the girl a garment that will capture the eyes of the numerous foreign dignitaries who are expected to attend. Seek out Kotocho, that you find the inspiration you need to commence work on your next masterpiece.
  • After a brief discussion with Kotocho, you conclude that a spring dress would be ideal for the occasion─affording both the freedom of movement needed to flutter elegantly across the grand stage, as well as an exotic touch to impress a cultured, discerning audience. Resolving to once again do what you can to help see the ambitious geiko's dreams realized, you make for Daitenya to procure the necessary materials from Master Keimei.
  • Master Keimei is most intrigued by your design concept, if a bit uncomfortable with the prospect of his precious butterfly exposing too much shoulder. Nonetheless, he gives you his blessing to commence your needlework, assuring you that his man Yagiri will once again provide you with any and all materials you require.
  • Yagiri offers his gratitude for your continued efforts, commenting that the popularity of your work has business booming and the young master in particularly high spirits. He hands you a healthy quantity of exceedingly fine fabric, and encourages you to continue your most exquisite work.
  • Master Keimei rejoices upon seeing your handiwork and immediately summons for Kotocho. The girl has scarcely slipped her arms through the sleeves when the three of you are joined by Kototsuru, a veteran geiko who is less than impressed with what she perceives as her junior's lack of respect for modesty and tradition. With an ominous warning that the girl's fame is doomed to be fleeting, she walks away. Kotocho, for her part, is more determined than ever, and you and Master Keimei vow to redouble your efforts to see that her debut on the grandest of stages is every bit a success. ※The next weaver quest will be available from Keimei upon reaching level 68.

  • Keimei is not done lavishing presents on his precious butterfly.
  • Master Keimei gleefully informs you that the Kaiko-odori festivities were a great success, with Kotocho─and the dress you made for her─the unquestionable star of the show. As a result, Western fashions are in ever higher demand, and business at Daitenya continues to boom. What's more, Kotocho has caught the eye of none other than Kugane's highest magistrate─the bugyo─who has invited the girl to perform at an exclusive banquet for visiting heads of state. Keimei, as is his wont, would present her with yet another gift worthy of the occasion. Seek out Kotocho at her usual haunt and see what manner of garment she seeks this time.
  • You arrive in the Hanamachi to find Kotocho and Kototsuru in the midst of a heated debate regarding the relative merits of tradition versus modernity in the flower district in this time of rapid change. Kotocho reveals to you her bold plans for the bugyo's banquet─she would wear a garment reminiscent of the dancing girls of the West, in hopes of making a striking impression on her audience. Frustrated by her protégé's utter lack of respect for Hingan custom and tradition, Kototsuru proposes a contest to raise the stakes. To wit, the geiko who better earns the favor of the bugyo and his audience will retain her position, while the defeated will renounce her status and return to the humble role of an apprentice's apprentice. Kototsuru storms off with a derisive scoff, while Kotocho states her resolve to prove herself in the face of the veteran geiko's challenge. Determined to lend what aid you can to the girl, you return to Keimei to procure the materials necessary to begin work on your latest creation.
  • Keimei at first responds to Kotocho's approach with a degree of skepticism, but in the end he chooses to place his trust in his butterfly. As always, he offers you your choice of his fabrics free of charge, and bids you begin work on the piece as soon as you are able.
  • Much like the young master, Yagiri is somewhat perplexed as to the nature of the piece you will be creating and whether or not it will be accepted by the conservative audience. He grants, however, that his knowledge of Western traditions is yet lacking, and expresses his confidence that you will be able to work wonders with your needle once more.
  • Any misgivings that Keimei had regarding the bustier you fashioned are instantly blown away the moment his butterfly floats elegantly onto the scene wearing your masterwork. Kotocho thanks you and the young master for your patronage, promising to dance for the bugyo as she has never danced before, and confidently strides off to the venue. You and Keimei become concerned, however, when the girl fails to return even in the late hours of the night. The young master proposes that you split up and go in search of her, so you make for the piers, where Kotocho has been known to frequent when she seeks peace of mind.
  • You find Kotocho on a deck overlooking the waters, staring off blankly into the distance. Keimei arrives shortly after, and the two of you learn that she was defeated in the contest, and has resigned herself to starting over from the bottom of the ranks. You are they joined by Kototsuru, who educates Kotocho in the error of her ways. As Kototsuru tells it, her mistake was twofold: she did not consider that the audience would be less than impressed with her choice of garment, and furthermore neglected her training in the traditional arts that they specifically sought to partake in. After the veteran geiko leaves, Kotocho expresses her sincere regret─deep down, she knew that Kototsuru was only looking out for her, but her pride and overconfidence blinded her to the truth. She vows to take this lesson to heart and redouble her efforts until the day when she can reclaim her position. Thanking you and Master Keimei for your support, she then bids you farewell. You promise to pay visit to Daitenya to console Master Keimei, who is clearly more distraught at this turn of events than he let on.
  • Master Keimei is worried about the impact the day's events will have on his ability to sell imported fashions, but accepts that there is nothing that can be done but trust in Kotocho and bide his time until the girl's second apprenticeship is over. He entreats you to continue honing your needlework, that the two of you might present his butterfly with a fitting gift when the girl─inevitably, he believes─reclaims her former position. ※The next weaver quest will be available from Keimei upon reaching level 70.

  • The flighty behavior of his precious butterfly weighs heavy on Keimei's heart.
  • With no small degree of pride, Master Keimei informs you that Kotocho has risen from the ashes and reclaimed her former position of geiko, having completed her second apprenticeship in record time. Furthermore, in recognition of her efforts, she has received an invitation to perform at the annual Kugane-odori, known as the event where stars of the flower district are made. Not all is well, however─as Keimei tells it, his butterfly is acting curiously despondent despite the joyous news, going so far as to refuse his offer to commission a new dress for her to commemorate the occasion. At the young master's behest, you make for the flower district in hopes of finding out what troubles the girl and easing her heart as best you can.
  • A brief heart-to-heart with Kotocho sheds light upon the nature of her plight. The girl tearfully describes how her sole source of comfort as she toiled and struggled was her dream that she would once again stand on the same stage as Kototsuru, and finally prove her worth to her mentor and role model. Though the butterfly has risen back through the ranks, Kototsuru's impending marriage and retirement from the flower district means this dream will not come to be. Unable to summon the passion she once had, Kototsuru asks to be left alone with her thoughts. At a loss, you acquiesce to the girl's request and head back to share what you have learned with Master Keimei.
  • You share what you have learned with Keimei, who is quickly spurred to action. As Kotocho's patron, he reaffirms his vow to support the girl in this, her time of greatest need. To that end, he would take it upon himself to convince Kototsuru to put off her planned retirement until after she has taken part in one final performance. You make for the artisans' quarter, determined to assist in whatever what you can.
  • The heartfelt pleas of Master Keimei and yourself do not fall on deaf ears, and Kototsuru agrees to your request. She does, however, set one absolute condition: the two geiko must perform the same number─an ancient Doman dance known as the tennyo-no-mai, or descent of the angel─while wearing identical dresses, which you are to fashion. Believing this the only way to raise Kotocho's spirits, the two of you thank Kototsuru for her kindness before returning to Daitenya to prepare the ancient garment─the tennyo hagoromo─needed for the occasion.
  • Upon your return to Daitenya, Keimei tells Kotocho the news, renewing her vigor and encouraging her to resume training. He further explains that he has prepared the finest silks at his disposal for what will doubtless prove to be your most significant and challenging work to date. When you are ready to brandish your needle, you need only speak with the stall attendant and claim the fabrics you desire.
  • As he hands over the squares of pristine, angelic silks, the attendant muses on how the choice of dance is truly fitting for Kototsuru's final performance, given her deep respect for cultural tradition, and a worthy challenge for the young Kotocho as well. It would seem all are eager to see past, present, and future come together on the stage at the Kugane-odori. You take your needle in hand, vowing to create twin masterpieces worthy of the grand occasion.
  • After presenting your work to Master Keimei, you make your way to the festivities just as Kototsuru and Kotocho are about to take the stage. Together with the young master, you look on in wonder as the two geiko twirl and sway in perfect harmony, as if their two physical bodies shared a single soul. You wake from this otherworldly dream to welcome the two, who thank you profusely for crafting the garments so sublime it was as if they were truly transformed into heavenly beings. They share a moment of tenderness as Kotocho thanks her mentor for all that she has done, and Kototsuru entrusts the future of the flower district to her erstwhile apprentice. You and Keimei look on warmly as the two geiko reaffirm a bond that will surely last for the rest of their lives, even as their paths diverge.
  • Your work done, you pay one final visit to Daitenya, where Master Keimei expresses his deep appreciation for all that you have done on his and Kotocho's behalf. He expresses his confidence that the flower district is in good hands with his butterfly, and wishes you a safe journey back to Eorzea, where he hopes that Hingan fashions might one day make an impression the way your craftsmanship has found an audience in his homeland.
