  • Lyngsath wants you to cook for a fellow culinarian.
  • Lyngsath informs you that Ingham, a senior of yours at the guild, has been inconsolable since botching an order. Wishing to cheer him up, the guildmaster bids you make the poor soul one of his favorite dishes: grilled trout.
  • Instead of cheering him up, your expertly prepared grilled trout has the wholly unintended effect of humiliating Ingham, who interprets the gesture as a form of challenge. Happily, his urge to better your efforts prompts him to forget his woes, and he gifts you a amateur's culinary knife, that you might compete on an even footing. Now armed with a secondary tool, you continue along your chosen path. ※The next culinarian quest will be available from Lyngsath upon reaching level 10.

  • Lyngsath wants you to assist Ingham with a large order.
  • According to the guildmaster, Ingham has forgotten something in his order: grilled dodo. Prepare the two required servings in Ingham's stead, and deliver them to him.
  • Somewhat predictably, your immaculately prepared gift of grilled dodo serves to humiliate Ingham once again. By way of repayment for your unwelcome act of kindness, he dutifully proceeds to share his knowledge of tradecraft leves with you. It would seem these tasks, assigned by T'mokkri of the Adventurers' Guild, offer an excellent opportunity to gain cooking experience while earning coin. ※The next culinarian quest will be available from Lyngsath upon reaching level 15.

  • Lyngsath wants you to speak with Ingham, who he suspects has botched another order.
  • It would seem that Ingham is in low spirits once again. Could he have botched yet another order? Lyngsath bids you ask your hapless colleague about the cause of his woes, and lend whatever help you may.
  • Ingham miserably reveals that he has offended a regular patron of the Bismarck─a fellow by the name of Maetimaga─by serving him a second-rate meat miq'abob. Though he wishes to set things right, Ingham is too shaken to apologize to the man in person. Perhaps you could do so in his stead.
  • It would seem Maetimaga means to have Ingham dismissed from his post out of concern for the Bismarck's reputation. In order to prove that the offending meat miq'abob was a mere aberration, you must make him another─one that is fit for consumption.
  • Deeply impressed by your miq'abob, Maetimaga undergoes a change of heart. Bear the glad tidings to Lyngsath.
  • Upon hearing your report, Lyngsath thanks you for your efforts on behalf of the guild. He then explains that his students are his foremost priority, and that he would willingly let the Bismarck's proud reputation suffer rather than stifle his charges' development. Inspired by the strength of Lyngsath's conviction, you continue along your chosen path. ※The next culinarian quest will be available from Lyngsath upon reaching level 20.

  • Lyngsath is concerned about the health of a certain guild member.
  • One of your guildmates, a woman named Diving Dove, has been looking strangely tense of late, but is too engrossed in her work to take the time to relax. Concerned for her well-being, Lyngsath bids you prepare her some dried plums, in the hope that they might help to lighten her burden. The pixie plums required to make them can be obtained in the wilderness, or purchased via the market board in Hawkers' Alley.
  • Pretending to seek her opinion on your handiwork, you succeed in convincing Diving Dove to eat your dried plums. She soon sees through your ruse, however, and takes umbrage at Lyngsath's interference. Thankfully, her mortification swiftly passes, and she admits to feeling moved by your gift, before promising to take better care of herself in future. ※The next culinarian quest will be available from Lyngsath upon reaching level 25.

Alas, Diving Dove is known to mislike both the taste and texture of the meat. Clearly, it will take some effort to make the dish palatable to her.
  • Pretending to seek her opinion on your handiwork once more, you succeed in convincing Diving Dove to eat your aldgoat steak. As before, it does not take long for her to see through your deception, but she is nevertheless impressed that you were able to make her enjoy aldgoat. • Lyngsath wants you to cook for a distinguished guest in his stead.
  • You learn that Lord Lolorito, one of Ul'dah's most powerful men, has announced his intention to dine at the Bismarck. Apparently, the man is a self-styled food critic, notorious for using his influence to ruin restaurants that fail to satisfy his rarefied needs. In an unfortunate turn of events, Lyngsath has injured his hand, and it falls to you to represent the Bismarck in his stead. In order to learn more about your distinguished guest, the guildmaster recommends you speak with Diving Dove, a native of Ul'dah.
  • You learn from Diving Dove that Lolorito's butler, a fellow by the name of Nonopesa, is presently at the Bismarck. Seek him out and endeavor to discover what manner of cuisine his master may be craving.
  • For a blessing, Nonopesa turns out to be a personable fellow, and you learn from him that Lolorito currently has a hankering for a hearty meal of meat. As per the butler's recommendation, prepare a haunch of smoked raptor of the finest quality, and deliver it to him.
  • Nonopesa is deeply impressed by your smoked raptor. You, in turn, are deeply impressed by his ability to judge food without taking a single bite. What was it that Diving Dove said about Ul'dahn cuisine... ? At any rate, it would seem your cooking will satisfy even the exacting requirements of the great Lord Lolorito. Bear the glad tidings to Lyngsath.
  • Nonopesa's high opinion of your food serves to put Lyngsath at ease. The guildmaster thanks you for safeguarding the future of the guild, and proceeds to liken you to his trusty left hand. • Lyngsath needs you to prepare a banquet fit for a sultana.
  • Word of your talents has reached the sultana of Ul'dah, who has requested that your culinary creations be served at her welcoming supper. Alas, while Her Grace specified the chef, she did not specify what she desires to eat. In order to decide upon the menu, Lyngsath recommends you seek the counsel of Diving Dove.
  • Diving Dove suspects that Lord Lolorito, the man culinarians fear as the Chefsbane, organized this royal visit for the sole purpose of discrediting the Bismarck. Seek Latisha's counsel on how you might go about averting disaster.
  • So as to discover the sultana's preferences, Latisha suggests that you seek the advice of Ul'dahn visitors to the city. She also directs you speak with her former colleague, Rubh Epocan of Mealvaan's Gate.
  • You have succeeded in identifying four of the sultana's favorite dishes. Return to Latisha with the information.
  • After some deliberation, it has been decided that you will prepare all four dishes for the sultana. Prepare an eft steak, a bowl of beef stew, a serving of trapper's quiche, and a crowned pie─all of the highest quality─and deliver them to the banquet venue. Speak with Zanthael at Bulwark Hall to gain admittance.
  • Much to your relief, the sultana is tremendously satisfied with her meal, and Lord Lolorito's plot to humiliate you and the Bismarck is foiled. For the second time, you have gotten the better of the Chefsbane. Deliver the glad tidings to Lyngsath.

  • Lyngsath has a mind to set you up with a new challenge.
  • An acquaintance of Lyngsath's requires the services of a consummate culinarian, and the guildmaster believes that you are the woman for the job. If the prospect of a new challenge piques your interest, head over to the Missing Member and present yourself to the head waitress, one Melkoko.
  • In the same breath, Melkoko introduces herself and informs you of the task she would have you undertake: participating in the Dellemont d'Or, the most prestigious of all cooking contests. The winner of the previous edition, she reveals, is none other than the Missing Member's head chef, a man named H'mhasi Tia, of whom she is none too fond. She bids you speak with the fellow inside the tavern, that you might understand her aversion towards him.
  • A moment with H'mhasi Tia is all it takes for you to appreciate Melkoko's sentiments. But whatever else the man may be, he is supremely confident of winning the Dellemont d'Or for a second consecutive time. Return to Melkoko and report the details of the encounter to her.
  • With H'mhasi Tia's detestable personality thus established, Melkoko reveals to you her motive for having you enter the Dellemont d'Or: she wants you to beat the arrogant culinarian and put him in his place. • Melkoko has news for you regarding the Dellemont d'Or.
  • An excited Melkoko informs you that the Bismarck has been selected as the venue for the Dellemont d'Or. A member of the contest council has come to the restaurant to register participants. Melkoko bids you give your name to him and make your participation official.
  • You have registered as a participant in the Dellemont d'Or. Return to Melkoko at the Missing Member.
  • Melkoko receives the report of your successful registration with approval. All that remains is to prepare for the contest, and Melkoko immediately has a challenge to help you get into form. A diner is struggling to decide upon a dessert, and your task is to prepare something to suit her palate. Seek out the diner, a steerswoman of the Sanguine Sirens, and inquire after her preferences.
  • The steerswoman explains to you her dilemma: she cannot stand sweet things, but she must learn to eat them for the sake of preserving her relationship. Bear word of the diner's unusual requirements back to Melkoko.
  • Upon hearing your report, Melkoko swiftly concludes that the steerswoman simply has an aversion to the unfamiliar. As such, rather than abiding by the customer's wishes, she suggests that you make something that is unapologetically sweet. Prepare a Sohm Al tart and a cup of Ishgardian tea, and present them to Melkoko.
  • Caving in to Melkoko's unrelenting insistence, the steerswoman gingerly samples your Sohm Al tart and Ishgardian tea. To her astonishment and delight, she finds both to be delectable. Having thus conquered her fear of sweets, she leaves in high spirits, hopeful that things will work out between her and her beau. • Melkoko is wearing a look of equal parts delight and mischief.
  • With barely restrained giddiness, Melkoko shares with you her pleasure at having witnessed H'mhasi Tia being humbled by Rhoswen. That pleasure was short-lived, however, for Rhoswen then directed her displeasure at her. She is tasked with coming up with a piping hot soup dish for her mistress, and this task now falls to you. Melkoko suggests that you speak with Lyngsath to learn of Rhoswen's preferences in soup.
  • You approach Lyngsath for Rhoswen's preferences, who reveals that the good captain has been obsessed with Ishgardian cuisine of late. However, he refuses to go into more detail on account of the culinarian-customer relationship. If you desire further information, it appears you will need to speak with the good captain herself.
  • Rhoswen reveals to you her plot to entrap and do away with her rival, Carvallain, and for this she needs to know the man's favorite cuisine. To this end, she bids you go to the Seventh Sage and ask him the name of the best Ishgardian chef. The coinpurse she gave you should serve to loosen the man's tongue.
  • The coinpurse does the trick, and Carvallain tells you that the head chef of House Durendaire is the foremost authority in Ishgardian cuisine. Though he withholds the man's name, Carvallain provides you with a bottle of Lohmani red to help facilitate your meeting. Make your way to Ishgard and search for the chef in the vicinity of Durendaire Manor.
  • Delighted for the gift of Lohmani red, the House Durendaire chef is pleased to teach you all about the humble but ubiquitous beet soup. He goes on to impress upon you his belief that love is an essential ingredient in every dish, and in closing gives you the names of popular accompaniments to the soup. Prepare a bowl of beet soup, a kaiser roll, and a serving of grilled sweetfish, and present them to Melkoko.
  • Rhoswen is deeply impressed with your beet soup, and declares that she will have H'mhasi Tia master the recipe. After Melkoko takes her leave, Rhoswen reveals to you a shocking revelation: Melkoko is actually infatuated with H'mhasi Tia. Though you struggle to reconcile this fact with her plan to humble him at the Dellemont d'Or, for now you must remain focused on preparing for the contest, all the while keeping close to heart the secret ingredient: love. ※The next culinarian quest will be available from Melkoko upon reaching level 58.

  • Having informed you of Rhoswen's failed attempt to entrap Carvallain, Melkoko remembers that Lyngsath has been looking for you. Hurry over to the Bismarck and ask the guildmaster what he requires of you.
  • Lyngsath informs you that Master Dellemont, founder and judge of the contest of his namesake, is due at the Bismarck to inspect the venue. With his hands full preparing for the visit, Lyngsath needs you to cook for an old friend in his stead. The friend, an elderly retired pirate, is fond of meat, but no longer has the teeth with which to masticate it. To this end, Lyngsath bids you prepare for him a dish that is at once meaty and tender─cockatrice meatballs.
  • No sooner do you present the cockatrice meatballs to Lyngsath than Master Dellemont arrives at the Bismarck. He waits patiently as the guildmaster serves his old friend, who devours his meal with relish and leaves with a smile on his face. Shortly thereafter, H'mhasi Tia and Melkoko come to pay their respects to Master Dellemont, but an argument breaks out between them which culminates in an unexpected wager. Though she has absolutely no business doing so, Melkoko agrees to relinquish ownership of the Bismarck to H'mhasi Tia should he emerge triumphant in the Dellemont d'Or. Should he lose to you, however, he must give up his calling. The stakes have become exceedingly high; see to it that you are fully prepared for the contest─for Lyngsath's sake, if no one else's. ※The next culinarian quest will be available from Melkoko upon reaching level 60.

  • Melkoko is eager to help get you started in the Dellemont d'Or.
  • The long-awaited Dellemont d'Or has begun. Melkoko takes a moment to warn you that Master Dellemont is notoriously difficult to impress, and goes on to say that it will be a two-chocobo race between you and H'mhasi Tia. Before you do aught else, seek out Master Dellemont at the Bismarck and have the particulars of the contest from him.
  • Having informed you that you are the final contestant, Dellemont furnishes you with the particulars of the contest. Of a three-course meal, the main course is to be a meat dish, while the overall theme is hospitality. Bear word of this back to Melkoko at the Missing Member.
  • As the final contestant, you are at a disadvantage, for Dellemont will be hard-pressed to keep his appetite whetted by the time he tastes your cooking. Bearing this fact in mind, and with Melkoko's guidance, you decide upon a course consisting of morel salad, deep-fried okeanis, and marron glace. Draw upon all your culinary skills to create the finest samples of these dishes, and present them to the contest council member at the Bismarck.
  • You present your dishes to the contest council member, who lays them out for judging. After a tense few heartbeats, Dellemont awards you a perfect ten─the first in the entire history of the contest, and a point above H'mhasi Tia's nine. So it is that you are crowned champion. Dellemont takes a moment to explain what it was that divided you and your rival. While H'mhasi Tia's creations were magnificent in their own right, they lacked the spirit of hospitality that defined your dishes. H'mhasi admits defeat and runs off distraught, with Melkoko hot on his heels. Follow the couple back to the Missing Member and ensure that all is well between them.
  • You bear witness as Melkoko and H'mhasi Tia make their peace with one another. It is revealed that H'mhasi Tia's apparent laziness was simply an act of posturing, and he had been training hard for the contest in secret. With Rhoswen's permission, he decides to journey the realm in order to become as great a culinarian as you, and Melkoko promises that she will wait for him. After the others leave, Melkoko thanks you for being an inspiration to her and H'mhasi Tia. In turn inspired by her praise, you are determined to be the best culinarian you can be, and a worthy champion of the Dellemont d'Or. ※The next culinarian quest will be available from Lyngsath once you have met the following requirements: ※ You must have registered a product key for FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood to your service account. ※ You must have completed the main scenario quest “The Far Edge of Fate.”

  • Lyngsath has a visitor he would like you to meet.
  • Lyngsath greets you with the news that someone has come calling who wishes to meet the guild's most decorated chef─your good self. Like you, the individual in question is an adventurer-cook, and owing to this he sees you as an inspiration. Take yourself to the Bismarck's dining area and seek out a man named Raulf.
  • Raulf tells you of his efforts at being an adventurer and culinarian both, but juggling two careers has led to lackluster results. Recognizing his limits, he has resolved to focus purely on the culinary arts and has taken up a post at Rowena's café. In order to distinguish himself in this crowded profession, he intends to incorporate Far Eastern dishes into the menu and cater to the local Doman population. However, he concedes that it is no easy task to master a foreign cuisine, and so he has come to you for aid. If you are willing to lend your expertise, take yourself to Revenant's Toll and seek out Raulf at Rowena's House of Splendors.

  • Raulf has the look of a man for whom things didn't go as planned.
  • Since you last spoke, Raulf has learned that the local Domans are sick unto death of bread and want to eat nothing more than rice balls. Simple as the dish seemed, Raulf tried making it himself, but the Domans were less than impressed with the results. Polite a people as they are, however, they will not tell him straight what he did wrong, and it falls to you to seek them out in town and ask their honest opinion.
  • It appears that Raulf cooked the rice with too much water and then squeezed and seasoned the balls too strongly. Return to the kitchen inside Rowena's House of Splendors and relay the information to him.
  • Raulf listens intently as you share the Domans' critique of his rice balls. Believing that you will do a better job, he asks you to try your hand next. Prepare your finest set of Doman rice balls and bring it outside for Raulf to hand out to the gathered Domans. ※In the event you lose the ingredients or the synthesis ends in failure, you may try again by speaking with Popin.
  • Your rice balls meet with the Domans' resounding approval, and trying a bite himself, Raulf discovers what the fuss is about. As he marvels at how you harnessed the best qualities of rice, a Doman woman named Anzu appears and affirms that such is spirit of Far Eastern cuisine: to respect each ingredient and allow it to shine. Her sudden arrival causes Raulf to break out in panic, and she soon takes her leave, satisfied that he is in good hands. Join Raulf back in the kitchen to discuss the next step in your endeavor.
  • With your rice balls a success, Raulf declares that he will begin serving them at the café. Before you part ways, he confides that Anzu is in fact his fiancée, but there appears to be some manner of complication that he is not ready to reveal. For now, remain focused on the task at hand and be ready to assist Raulf again when he moves to the next stage of his culinary endeavors. ※The next culinarian quest will be available from Raulf upon reaching level 65.

  • Raulf has caught the waft of a tasty rumor.
  • In the course of considering new Far Eastern dishes, Raulf has learned that elderly Domans often suffer from upset stomachs due to the rich and greasy foods that are common to Eorzea. For such complaints, nothing is better than udon, a bowl of noodles in a light and warming broth, and Raulf has a mind to serve it up for the old ones. The broth is made by boiling dried fish, and it is decided that you will go to Limsa Lominsa to source the finest stuff available. Start by paying a visit to the Bismarck and consulting Lyngsath.
  • Lyngsath recommends you use authentic Far Eastern dried fish to make the udon broth. As luck would have it, a Kraken's Arms ship recently seized a merchantman in Far Eastern seas, and the ingredient you seek may well be among its cargo. Take your search to the Seventh Sage and ask Carvallain whether he has what you require.
  • To your delight, the seized ship was indeed carrying dried fish. But to your dismay, Carvallain deemed it worthless and tricked the Sanguine Sirens into taking it off his hands. Seek out Rhoswen at the Missing Member and hope the Twelve that she hasn't likewise cast it away.
  • In disgusted tones, Rhoswen confirms having accepted the dried fish from Carvallain. Raulf eagerly offers to buy it from her, but the Sirens captain informs him that she has ordered it all discarded. Just when it seems you must travel all the way to the Far East, Melkoko comes in with glad tidings: she has held on to the dried fish. Raulf volunteers to grab the stuff from the storehouse, and bids you join him back in his kitchen at Revenant's Toll.
  • Back at Revenant's Toll, you and Raulf set about making udon. While he prepares the noodles, he bids you boil the broth using the dried fish. See to your task and present the broth to Raulf when it is ready. ※In the event you lose the ingredients or the synthesis ends in failure, you may try again by speaking with Popin.
  • You give the steaming broth to Raulf, who combines it with his noodles and serves up the udon to elderly Domans. Much to his relief, the dish is well received, but the triumph is short-lived, for Anzu's father, Unzan, arrives soon after and proceeds to heap scorn upon Raulf. Sampling the udon, Unzan awards your broth a passing grade, but tears Raulf's noodles apart while managing another disparaging comment at its maker, and takes his leave. Reach out to your brother culinarian to see how he fares after the unpleasant confrontation.
  • Raulf takes the opportunity to tell you all about the complication between he and Anzu. Her father refuses to accept a vagrant adventurer for a son-in-law, and so Raulf decided to give up the adventuring life in order to focus on cooking. The choice of Far Eastern cuisine, too, was for the sake of gaining approval, but therein lies a problem: Unzan himself is a chef of no small renown, who had his own pretigious restaurant back in Doma. But no matter the difficulties, Raulf is determined to succeed as a culinarian and win Unzan over, and he expresses his hopes that he can continue depending on your help. ※The next culinarian quest will be available from Raulf upon reaching level 68.

  • Raulf has the sheepish look of a man who is about to ask for a huge favor.
  • Having practiced until he could make udon to his satisfaction, Raulf now has his sights set on something called sushi, which he describes as little mounds of rice topped with raw fish. Though it may sound simple, it is said to be an indulgence of the highest order and is nigh impossible to make without training under a proper master in Hingashi. As he is unable to abandon his job at the restaurant, Raulf begs you make the long journey in his stead to learn the basics of sushi-making. Set forth for the Hingan port of Kugane, and upon arrival seek out an inn called the Bokairo, where one of the realm's foremost sushi chefs is to be found.
  • At the Bokairo, Karaku informs you that their sushi chef, Shamoji, is currently out in the Ruby Sea gathering ingredients. As there is no telling when he might return, Karaku suggests you look for him in the waters near the Isle of Bekko.
  • Taking your search under the sea, you manage to locate Chef Shamoji. Alas, the haughty Kojin refuses to consider you for his apprentice, and warns you not to bother him again. Having come so far, however, it would not do to give up so easily. Follow Shamoji back to the Bokairo and try to convince him to give you a chance.
  • Your second attempt to speak with Shamoji gets off to a poor start, but by incredible luck, Dellemont chances to be at the Bokairo at the exact same moment. With his unreserved endorsement of your skills, Shamoji cannot help but agree to take you on as his apprentice. The lessons begin immediately, and before long you succeed in grasping the basics of sushi-making to a very impressed Shamoji. Hurry now back to Revenant's Toll and share your knowledge with Raulf.
  • Back at the Revenant's Toll, you share all you have learned of sushi-making with an eager Raulf. Wasting no time, he begins to prepare the dish for the local Domans, Anzu and her father included, and asks you to contribute one plate to the catering effort. Make the nigiri-zushi with the ingredients given to you and present it to Raulf. ※In the event you lose the ingredients or the synthesis ends in failure, you may try again by speaking with Popin.
  • You deliver your plate of nigiri-zushi to Raulf, who has managed to finish his own portions. Follow Raulf out to the dining area on the terrace and prepare to receive your diners.
  • Unzan first turns his nose up at the Eorzean-made nigiri-zushi, but at his daughter's urging relents and gives it a chance. Though it comes with a caveat, he offers praise for your handiwork. And while Raulf's falls well short of impressing, his earnest effort is acknowledged, and he dares to hope that Unzan finally approves of him and Anzu. Alas, his hopes are swiftly crushed, for Unzan reveals his true reason for rejecting Raulf: his Ala Mhigan blood. Theirs is the proud blood of Yanxia, Unzan explains, and only a man of equally pure lineage is fit for his daughter. Dejected, Raulf decides to return to being an adventurer and walks off as Anzu looks on in dismay. With both her father and fiancée having left, it falls to you to reach out to her in this difficult moment.
  • Initially struck speechless in disbelief, Anzu chooses to believe in Raulf, saying that he must have reasons for his decision. She implores you to continue lending him your aid and directs you to the kitchen, where he is likely to be.
  • Though you find Raulf garbed in his adventuring attire, he declares that he hasn't given up on Anzu. Her father's statement that Far Eastern cuisine owes its greatness to its purity tugs at his mind, and he needs some time to ponder it. The odds are admittedly long, but Raulf believes that there is a chance he can make Unzan reconsider his stance. Whatever your friend may be planning, remain on hand that you might assist him should the need arise. ※The next culinarian quest will be available from Raulf upon reaching level 70.

  • Raulf is deep in thought.
  • After pondering Unzan's words on the purity of Far Eastern cuisine at length, Raulf has identified the reason why the claim sits ill with him. He recounts to you the very first Far Eastern dish he ever had, which Anzu made for him: sukiyaki, a hearty dish of meat and vegetables simmered in a shallow pot. The taste of it unearthed long-buried memories of an identical stew from his childhood in Ala Mhigo, and he believes that there is a connection between the two. In order to verify his theory, Raulf sets forth for the village of Ala Ghiri in the Peaks region; join him there if you would help him in his quest.
  • Raulf is grateful for your continued cooperation. He bids you split up and ask the denizens of Ala Ghiri about the stew from his memory.
  • Your investigation has yielded a name: buckler stew. The dish apparently came into being when soldiers took to using their shields as pots, cooking meat in them with wine and various seasonings. Rejoin Raulf and share with him this momentous discovery.
  • Raulf is certain that buckler stew was the dish from his childhood, and all that remains is to establish a connection with sukiyaki. To this end, Raulf has tracked down an individual who is versed in history. Seek out this individual and ask him what he knows.
  • According to the Highlander historian, Ala Mhigo traded only as far as the Near East and had no direct dealings with Far Eastern states. However, Raulf is not ready to give up, and posits that Radz-at-Han may have been a waypoint for trade─and the dish. By a stroke of good fortune, it appears Ala Ghiri is home to a Hannish immigrant who came to Eorzea many years ago. Join Raulf as he searches for the elderly fellow outside the village.
  • In the course of your search, you hear an elderly man crying out for help. Make haste after Raulf in the direction of the voice.
  • You arrive at the scene to find Raulf spent but alive, Qiqirn bandits dead at his feet. The elderly fellow he saved turns out to be the Hannish immigrant, and as luck would have it, he is extremely fond of buckler stew. He confirms that the dish first came from Ala Mhigo to Radz-at-Han, and thence made its way to Doma, where it was reborn as sukiyaki. Raulf will remain in Ala Ghiri awhile to learn the recipe for buckler stew, and promises to meet you back at Revenant's Toll when he is done.
  • In a rare display of kindness from Rowena, Raulf has secured the use of his old kitchen for his bid to win Unzan over. For a final favor, he asks that you prepare a serving of Doman sukiyaki for him. Raulf's future with Anzu and as a culinarian both hang in the balance; see that you make the best example of the dish you are able. ※In the event you lose the ingredients or the synthesis ends in failure, you may try again by speaking with Popin.
  • You present your Doman sukiyaki to Raulf just as he finishes making his buckler stew. The two dishes are placed before Unzan and Anzu, who are shocked to find that, despite their apparent differences, they taste almost identical. Raulf proceeds to explain how the Ala Mhigan buckler stew was reborn in Doma as sukiyaki, its arrival giving rise to new possibilities in Far Eastern cuisine. A moment passes in tense silence before Unzan invites Raulf to join the meal─as family should. At the conclusion of the happy gathering, Raulf offers you his heartfelt thanks for helping him to win over Unzan, with whose blessing he and Anzu will wed at the earliest opportunity. He then declares that he will hang up his adventurer's hat for good and resume his post at the café, serving Far Eastern dishes. As your brother culinarian finds his place, continue carving your own path and ever strive towards new horizons.
