The following lists are based on a combination of in-game sources and fan conjecture - many enemy families have not been named or classified by official Square Enix material; the current classifications are merely placeholders.

A list of enemies found in Final Fantasy XIV. Final Fantasy XIV's bestiary is codified by the Raimdelle Codex, a journal written by naturalist and theologist Frandelont Raimdelle. Raimdelle spent most of his life traveling Eorzea and cataloging every plant, mineral, and creature he came across. While the Codex is far from a complete bestiary, Sharlayan scholars have used the systems it established to continue Raimdelle's work.

As per the Codex, creatures are catalogued according to kingdom, class, genera, and finally species. Creatures may also have a sub-class if they exhibit characteristics of another class: for example, the scalekin puk has the cloudkin subclass owing to its capability for flight. These pages only catagorize according to a creature's primary class.
