Here's where you can nominate and vote on articles to be featured on the front page.
- To nominate, simply write your nomination under the Nominees section and sign your posts. A nomination is equal to a vote, and it's one nomination per person.
- To vote, simply sign with # ~~~~ under the nominees to symbolize your support. You can vote for as many as two nominees at a time. You can always change it at anytime, until the selection date.
- Once a nominee is selected, we'll clear the nominees section to start a clear slate. You can nominate the same article again one month later, eg. unselected nominations in January may be repeated only from March. We call it a transition period.
- You can give your Comments in the section below, but any claims of supporting a nominee does not count until you sign under the Nominees section. Take care!
- Diablocon has the final say in things: he's in charge of the featured articles. Uweeheehee.
Rules:
Here are some things to consider when nominating:
If your article has any problems with the above criteria, please either refrain from nominating it or fix it up so it is up to scratch. Remember that the Featured Article is representing the best this wiki has to offer, not just a popularity contest. If your nomination has no votes after being up for four days, you may remove it and still use it next month. However, this offer is only good for the next four days, afterwards your nomination stays (day limits are subject to change until I can find good lengths). | |||

- Balthier - An article about one of Final Fantasy's more popular and well-known characters. The article has a lot of information about the character, and (surprisingly), Balthier hasn't been featured yet. SidVI 12:57, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

- Garlean Empire - This is the most up-to-date Final Fantasy XIV article, has almost every information known about the empire at this point and it's the less likely to require radical changes in the near future. - Ultima (Ivalice) - This is an incredibly detailed summon article that is a very worthy representative of FFXII this year. MystRay 15:47, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
- Because why not. It's a good article, and we haven't had a summon article... *checks* ...since 2007. Also, she's green, so there's a slight Halloween angle on it for those people who insist on matching the article to the HolidayOfTheMonth™ -- Sorceror Nobody 16:30, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

- The l'Cie theme is most intriguing, and the article is excellent. However, I do still wonder whether it is a rightfull nomination... FNC is a good way to put it, but if we go down that road, wouldn't that enable having more than one article featured per compilation? Anyway, if this nomination stays, it has my vote, so much is certain. MirrorshardSceada 14:54, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

MSS brings up a good point; is the l'Cie article eligible or not since an article from XIII was already featured, but l'Cie appear in at least one more (although unreleased) title? - +DeadlySlashSword+ 03:44, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
- Well since l'Cie appear in the games of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series I think it's ok. The FNC series is kinda like Ivalice in this way, no? The games take place on different worlds anyway. Koharu Nami 03:58, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
- I think it is a bit dodgy too because 80% of the article is about FFXIII. The Type-0 info seems to be just "l'Cie also appear in this game". I think it is unlikely we'll manage to shift the article's FFXIII-centricness by next month.Keltainentoukokuu 04:16, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

Tough selection this month. Ultima Weapon, Quickening, Shiva, The Void and Dragon are all very good articles; I can't comment as easily on Faris, having not played V, but it also looks excellent. I do kind of wish The Void had a few more pictures on it, but I guess there probably aren't really any more to have :/ I quite wanted to vote for it because I live there, but I had already firmly voted for Quickening, and Ultima Weapon edged out the others to earn my second vote -- Sorceror Nobody 16:00, August 5, 2011 (UTC)

Can someone please work on the Battle article (with me perhaps) if it is going to be featured, because right now it has glaring holes that are not gonna look good on a featured article. It basically only covers FF1-FF10 ignoring everything that comes after.
- Charge time?
- Weather effects? Terrain effects?
- Area of effect and group-casting spells?
- Battle speed, wait mode, active mode, set from the confiq (at least this should be added)
- Chaining attacks/kills in some games?
- Escaping from battles?
- Multiplayer battles?
What about Final Fantasy Tactics battles? Dissidia battles? This is a main series article only? "History" of how the style of battles is basically copied from Dragon Quest that in turn copied it from Dungeons and Dragons?Keltainentoukokuu 20:07, May 2, 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, points one and four should be covered in Battle Systems and point number three shouldn't be explained there either, having its place in either Battle Systems again, or Spells\Abilities. As an article, Battle should act as a portal to an incredible number of articles, so there's a small issue about it being so generic.
- If we were to cover all of the series in a few, massive articles like this, it wouldn't look nice, would it? - Henryacores^ 22:10, May 2, 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, which is why I feel a bit lost at from which end to start improving it, because if you now start to read it from top to bottom it doesn't read so well. It needs to be either snipped or expanded, just gotta decide on the scope. ILHI wrote this article originally and he tends to go a bit...overboard. Buuut this isn't the right place for this anyway.Keltainentoukokuu 00:58, May 3, 2011 (UTC)
- I think trying to make the article more concise and replacing large sections with shorter paragraphs and links like Battle System like Henry said is a good idea. I like the comprehension of the article, but it seems that we don't need to have so much detail in sections like Steal, Limit breaks, status effects, etc.
- EDIT: OH, and I would be happy to help add in info that appears in post-X games like weather and loot. Escaping can probably be summarized in the "Conclusion" section. 8bit 03:07, May 3, 2011 (UTC)

This song, that revolves around the romantic feelings of a lover towards her beloved, moves emotions in surprising ways. I still remember the time when I played the song on my media player, and my parents stayed to listen together, smiling and praising the song's melodious nature. Furthermore, no one has done any work on improving it either, save for Kelt who did one of her cleaning sweeps on it last week. Zero makes a good point. Do subpages count as separate articles, and can they be nominated after the main page is featured? --ShirubaKurono 22:11, December 2, 2010 (UTC)
- To answer Adonzo's question, the administration at one point had a prejeduce against Final Fantasy 8 and did what they could to avoid having it show up on the front page. Back then, in order to get Squall Featured, I was ordered to also spruce up Zidane's page and then they offered to feature Squall and Zidane at the same time (two articles sharing the same month because they didn't like Squall as a character). Fortunately Squall ended up getting the entire month, unfortunately when it came for Rinoa's turn, they didn't even bother for a compromise, instead they just threw up some other article that I think wasn't even in the voting list.
